Thank you Dr Ludwig. We can hear some Hungarian echoes in this march, seen in fact to who is dedicated: the Hungarian general Pal Kinizsi, great general under the command of the king Matthias Corvinus. He won battles against the Ottomans and it was Count of Temes (in Banat, a region of the southwest of Romania). Very interesting personality: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/P%C3%A1l_Kinizsi

It's more like part of the Austrian march collection why it is called Austrian(Hungarian).
@domihun2025 Жыл бұрын
@@dr.ludwig but this is not true, Kinizsi's full name is Pál Kinizsi, which is a completely Hungarian name, and it is never heard at Austrian military parades, while it is heard at Hungarian celebrations where the army also marches, historically Kinizsi was definitely Hungarian and so was the starter himself, Austria was nowhere at that time, because Mátyás Hunyadi owned Vienna, because Austria was unable to defend itself against the Turkish attacks, so Mátyás captured it, thereby also protecting Vienna
@dr.ludwig Жыл бұрын
Yep, they made a march to honor Kinitsi who lived several centuries earlier. The Austrians also made songs and marches of heroes of the peoples they ruled over later.
@domihun2025 Жыл бұрын
@@dr.ludwig I am aware that the song was written a few centuries later and that it is unlikely that it was written by a Hungarian because, for example, the form of the Rákóczi march, known and used today, was written by a French composer, but since the person was of Hungarian descent and fighting for Hungary, the march is Hungarian and not French, isn't this also the case in Kinizsi, especially since the Austrians do not play the march at military parades, but the Hungarians do

@dr.ludwig4 жыл бұрын
@jonas220294 жыл бұрын
