I depends. This guy is fantastic but I have this friend that pastes pre-arranged loops together adds some basic fx and call it "his" song. And he gets paid for playing (=press play, move a couple of level faders) them "live". He's my friend but he's got a long way ahead to call himself a true musician IMO

so good! i like how you get that swing feel from the hats by using the CH and Crash together. sometimes i run the CH/OH out through B and back into the External Input to run them through the sidechain (and external flanger =] ), that gives me some interesting groove on the hats.

Are you using the Tr-8 to trigger the loop at 4:19? If so, how do ya do that?

I was thinking the same thing also. Turns out that it is possible for the TR8 to trigger out via the Rimshot (like a 707/606 etc) by using the assignable out feature A/B. However, Roland don't say much about this for good reason, in that it's not always reliable (def not as reliable as a real CV trigger). You can be using it, and then it will suddenly stop working for no reason...strange. I played around with volume but still not found a real solution to this. So in summary, yes it's possible but with limitations!

Is the Aria Modular (Scooper) patched into the TR-8 so that when the Rhodes is played it is perfectly in time with the tempo set on the TR-8 or is Kink's timing perfect?

I trigger the Scooper with the rim shot from TR-8. even if i play the piano perfectly in time, its not possible to loop it perfectly in time. no matter how precise i am - after 20-30 sec it starts to move. I tried it a lot, i have a looper without midi, it just doesnt work..
