I have this palette an I absolutely love it! That cool toned row doesn't give me much trouble so I am for this palette. Plus, I love matte shadows more than anything else. Indeed, patting motions are best with Safari. If you watch ND's videos, she presses the shadows on first, then she blends out. It's her technique that goes hand in hand with her palettes. Thanks for mentioning this but I'm sure not a lot of people would change their technique just for a palette, but still it's nice to learn something new. These looks are awesome! I recreated your first look for a lunch date with friends. It came out gorgeous! Gracias! 💙🙋

I really appreciate your tutorials despite not having this palette - as a makeup novice myself I take a lot of inspiration from your styles and I feel your looks help me to move out of my comfort zone. I also appreciate the fact that you gave a lot of advice and tips on this palette. It might still not be for everyone but I actually feel this is a nice reference to use if you're interested in all-matte looks and/or just want to get more inspiration/use out of Safari. Your 3 looks videos are some of my favorites. It’s really nice to get as much inspiration as you can when you drop so much cash on a palette. I was on the fence about purchasing the safari palette because of the mixed reviews, but I’m so glad I did!! I learn every time you do one of these videos. I just purchased the Too Faced Lust palette. It arrives today. I chose that instead of Dominique Rustic and Natasha Sunrise because the colors are more on the light neutral side. There are a few pops in there but, I like the light natural colors as they make my eyes look better with the darkness that I have all around my eyes. That may be a palette you may want to check out. Also Too Faced has just introduced their Born This Way powder foundation. I have not purchased yet.

You have no idea how happy you`ve made me playing with this palette!! Because of the negative reviews i didn`t buy it till NOW! I did fallow your recommendations of how to apply it. Punch in the color, not much blending. Oh boy... I`M IN LOVE!!! I love absolutely love this palette! Doing a smokey look with rhino, highlight inner corner with stone and deepening with fata morgana. Also, today i`m wearing Pixi liquid eyeshadow in SunRay to add some sparkle (it has a cool tone yellow shimmer) on the lid. Savanna it shows a little grey on me too sadly. I can make it work and look more olive if i combine it with desert date. Thanks again for inspiring me to get it because i was hesitant. I have almost all Natasha Denona palettes

Thank you for this! I do have this palette and I feel like I can only use 1-2 shades at most with this palette. It's all mattes and so varietied I look at it like it's a companion palette to other palettes. Mainly tropic. I think Safari + Tropic make a perfect palette from spring to fall.

I will try the smoky greyish green eye today but put a shimmery mint in the inner corner from Colourpop’s Mint to wear with my tie die grey and mint green top. Just going to run some errands, but that is Covid time..... At least wearing a masks makes eye makeup more of a focus.

Hey i love these looks on you- the green Smokey look is stunning on you! Did it last? I know that was the issue Mel had when she used that color- okay-never mind- I’m listening to the rest of your explanation!! LOL~. I did want this palette but didn’t buy it because of Mels’ review. My dog Lyla sleeps under my bed, too.. I think they feel like they’re in a little hut, and feel protected and definitely cooler. :). That lighting must have been so frustrating for you! I LOVE my Safari palette!!! I dont understand how people say it isnt as good as her other palettes!!! Mine perform GORGEOUSLY!!! Exactly the same as the mattes from Gold, Lila, Sunset, Sunrise....... Thank you for the video. I really wanted this palette but seeing that it's not user friendly, I don't think it's worth the price. I think that ND should make sure her shadows are impeccable for the price she wants to charge. I do enjoy the Gold palette, the Sunrise palette and the Biba palette..I found nothing wrong with those and I'm happy that I can easily use them even though I am not an expert. Honestly, it came down to Biba and Safari for me and I ultimately picked Safari because I could pair it with Sunset, Lila, Gold, Green-Brown (ESPECIALLY as it has like 3 mattes in it) and I feel it would get a lot more use based on that alone. PLUS I can use it with all of Pat's palettes too (imagine using exclusively Safari and Decadence together yasssss). Safari is the only matte palette I'd need in my collection and I'm set, you know?

In every video there's at least one point where you make me giggle - especially when you're talking to the camera- I still don't know if I believe it's just a camera and not a person filmimg you - thank you for all the tutorials you do using this palette - I did not like it all until one of my favorite makeup gurus - you- taught me how to use it - I still haven't figured out how to see if you responded to any of my comments but I'm hoping you did and when I use my laptop instead of my phone I'll be able to see if you wrote me back - btw does anyone know how to see if any of the makeup artists responded to your comment?
