If you're looking for a zero-hum pickup solution with a big, juicy Jazzmaster tone, I can highly recommend the SurfMaster Zero-Hum bridge and neck pickups from Kinman. There's no hum to be heard but buckets of tone on tap. These pickups seem to enjoy whatever amp you put them in front of, hence my selection of models today: Vibrolux, Deluxe Reverb, HIWATT - courtesy of the Axe-FX III.
From Chris Kinman:
"SurfMaster (formerly the BrightMaster), has the juiciest sound of all Kinman pickups, it's the Kinman most like original Jazzmaster sound. Louder and more dynamic with greater presence than the FatMaster, this pickup has a full bodied sound with a powerful sharp twang and exceptional piano mid-tones. The dynamic range is so excellent you immediately relate it to Dick Dales sound, but you'll get more than that with these Jazzmaster pickups because these are versatile and can be used for grunge, indie, punk, shoegaze and just about anything.
The huge, lush bass end has a nice kick, some refer to as springy or bouncy sound courtesy of the huge dynamic range.
Middle switch position (bridge and neck SurfMasters on together) delivers better than authentic both-on-together sound with intense hollow cluck."
