People hold kino high regards because its a fun simple map that passes time without having to do alot. You get yourself set up, and train around the stage. Its easy but still has challenge, and its pleasing to look at as it has some color and cool backgrounds. Sometimes playing for an hour or so before work is fun, and kino does that

Kino popularized training Kino was the first map where the pack a punch was in a seperate part of the map you cant just run to. It did not force, but highly encouraged players to, run around rather than camp. It brought us one of the best wonder weapons of all time. On der riese the best room to train in (the thompson/furnace room) has a door that must be kept closed in order for it to be a viable training spot but der riese gets a pass for that but kino doesn't. The crossbow and ballistic knife make the co-op experience especially unique. Kino introduced the fire sale. People say kino didn't innovate, i beg to differ.

Kino der Toten is amazing, definitely not overrated. It has a great and interesting atmosphere and isn’t dull, uninteresting or plain at all and an interesting location. It also has replayablity. It’s balance isn’t bad. It doesn’t have as much in terms of storyline, but neither did some of the World at War maps. It’s not the least original map. It’s aged well and is very fun. And I wouldn’t say it’s nothing special. However I do agree in that it was a good map to have on disc.

Kino added moving boxes, multiple paths to choose, and mule kick. No games after this add anything really interesting other than EEs and bosses IMO. And plus, it was the first to introduce that sweet sweet music.

Although I respect your opinion, I think there's a decent amount to do on original kino: Shoot the 2 radios Knife all 6 power boxes, which speeds up teleporter cooldown time Collect the rocks for the hidden song Collect the film tape and play it Collect secret weapon from the alleyway Interact with the paintings Turn power on Spin the box Pack a punch Get perks Activate traps Get Bowie Knife And most importantly, dolphin dive on your teammate in the corner so you both go down

My overall opinion on kino: Pros: - simple and easy for anyone to play - great for high rounds - on disk - incredibly fun to play with a team - holds incredibly fond memories for all Cons: -lack of replayability on solo - lack of story line influence - lack of innovation (I think that the setting/ atmosphere may not be the most eye catching or stand out, but it’s still a good setting)

All these Bo4 maps you mentioned are remasters to original maps so they dont exactly count while Kino was an completely new map at the time so yeah Kino was the most Unoriginal map.
