This will be my first Christmas after my dad passed. I loved Christmas but how im going to enjoy it if he is not here anymore.

Start with your tree. Then sit in front of it and reflect on all the past Christmas memories you have. Write them down. Take your list & work on recreating each one. Take a clear tree ball & add a photo of your Dad to it. Hang it on your tree. Now he is part of your Christmas this year. Take it one day at a time and allow yourself the time you need. He’s with you in spirit. My sincere condolences. I lost my Dad 12 years ago to cancer. It was hard for us too that first Christmas. Yesterday my Mom finished her last radiation treatment for Stage 3 Lung Cancer. I am off work to help care for her. I have been decorating her place all week for Christmas. Dad would want that. We are doing what we can to make this Christmas special for Mom. One day at a time Hugs.

Rebecca, The white paint made such a difference in your entryway! It is great to see that I can have white spindles without committing to all of the trim becoming white! I love your winter scene with the lighted cloches in front! Gluing the twigs onto the picture was truly brilliant!!! I had no idea until you pointed it out! I thought it was a very clear picture! I love the glitter that is on the twigs! I took a left over LED strip and back lit our nativity crèche last year. I think a fairy light halo will be added to baby Jesus this year as well. As always, you home decorated for Christmas is exquisite! ❤️

glad you went silver/white with the hair. I did that about 6 years ago and never went back. I used to be a reddish brown and that was fine but I was so sick of coloring it all the time. Even though I do need touch ups with some color treatments since I am not totally silver yet it is so worth it. I didn't want to do the salt and pepper thing, so just found a stylist that agreed to take it on. It looks great on you.

So happy I found your channel. My style is not something that you do, but I still love to watch and see how you decorate each room. It definitely is a winter wonderland and reminds me of when I was a little girl and our aunt would take us into Philadelphia to Wanamaker's to shop for Christmas gifts for our parents and also to sit on Santa's lap and tell him what we wanted for Christmas. The walkway to get to Santa was always decorated very Christmasy and glittery with lots of sparkly trees, snow, etc. and I have fond memories of that time. So far, I like all the white with silver and gold touches. It is very beautiful
