@Jem Bennett Well, I was referring more to the "old _stories"_ meaning the stories written by the in-house lore team instead of the "new" way, where they outsource it to -professionals- hacks. On the other hand, Theros is old to me personally, because I started playing in Dragon's Maze.

I always loved that story. For so many reasons. My favorite being that in Zendikar Kiora had worshiped Kosi. The trickster god, who had stolen Ula spear. And though the titans had shattered her faith in gods. Here she is recreating that very same tale.

You've outdone yourself Prof. I can only imagine how you made your presentations on your classes. I could be entranced by any kind of story told this way. Even the most banal of anecdotes will have an eerily aura around them. But this story was fascinating and you've managed to make it even more so. The flavor of magic has always been what draws me to it, I hope to see more things like this, able to easily surpass - not only by miles, but by entire planes-- the published materials

I thought I was sitting down to see Prof show us a preview card, not 30 minuets of epic story time. So. Now you have to have Wolf do... all of the rest of the MTG lore, yes? 13:56 "Sent a wave to whelm them" directly referencing Whelming Wave from Born of the Gods. "Return all creatures to their owners’ hands except for Krakens, Leviathans, Octopuses, and Serpents."

Wizards! This is what you should be doing! I think 10-15 min videos narrating the story is the perfect kind of presentation for what is still, primarily, a collectable card game. Flavor text and card art only give you snippets of understanding. Books are too long for most people to read if they just want to understand what happens to the characters in the game they play. And the storylines tend to be too shallow to really fill out a whole novel worth reading anyway. (Some would obviously disagree.) But this seems ideal to me. I loved this. This should become a thing.

Kiora is one of my favorite Planeswalkers and LOVE we get more of her with returning to Theros as well as more of the Theros Gods themselves..... Which sadly makes me more upset that we're not getting any story for this set and EVEN more upset that Bundle Packs no longer have a booklet. Really loved having a physical excerpt for a Set's story and more artwork to enjoy.
