@S SoHeeloe well, obviously. but pay attention to the comment that said "you should be able to understand because half of the words of urdu are persian" a pakistani wont be able to understand more than a few words in a whole conversation and thats very clear i only replied to that. ofcource we share many similarities but not enough for our languages to be mutually intelligible to each other. iranians can understand dari and tajik for the most part but not really urdu.

I understand you. It's not that you don't understand Persian at all, it is the matter of different pronunciation. Urdu is a made up language comprised of Persian, Arabic, some Turkish and a lot of words from Indian languages. I am sure, if you read Persian texts, you'll realize that you know many Persian words.
