I did a lot of research on several brand tractors before I purchased the CK20 many years ago. I really like that the capacities are a little bit better on a Kioti then other brands for slight less money, and I like the features and the ergonomics. The diesel engine and the entire tractor never had any issues. I am certain the other brands are very good as well and just as reliable. Kioti stepped up their overall hydraulics, which are much faster and more powerful. The 2510 does seem to use more diesel than the CK20, and is not as smooth vibration wise. However, I can run it at a lower rpm and I can tell it has a lot more power over the older 20HP model.

@@capobiancg Yes I agree, I have done a lot of research also. We have a Kioti dealer near by and we drove a 2610. I have had two Kubota's and the 2020 L3301 was not up to Kubota's standards. The hydraulic pump and lift capacity were not good. With a load of gravel, the power steering was not able to turn the front wheels with the load. I sold it and I would still like slightly smaller tractor and I think the 2510 is the ticket. I love the hydraulic pump output, and the quality is top notch of what I have seen. Thanks again.

I am so glad that I came across your video! I am amazed that the company does not offer a video of their own considering that this is their brand new model. I actually have this same CX unit on order with my local Kioti dealer but have only seen the CK models up close. Apparently the virus is slowing down delivery. Your video answered a great many questions that I still had. Did you have your tires filled? Just curious. Thank you so much for doing this and please post more videos of your new CX 2510 in action! Use it in good health.

My CK20 had water filled rear tires. With my use of the CX I probably wont need it especially if you run a backhoe most of the time. The CX's are shipping to dealers on the West Coast slowly. S&W had one in stock and luck has it they just got a backhoe in. I too had a hard time deciding on the CK or CX. I opt'd for the CX with the new features and the new spilt peddles for forward and reverse. I already press the forward for the reverse, as I was used to the rocker peddle. Need to build the muscle memory. The CK20 did have a split brake, where the CX does not The biggie for me is the new hydraulics are much faster and smoother, especially with the backhoe on the CX vs. the older CK20. Overall I am glad I upgraded to the CX model.

@@capobiancg, thank you for your reply. It does make sense not to fill the tires if you will typically be running with the backhoe. This way you can still have a light tractor for mowing and other chores where you don't want to risk damaging a grassy area. I have my own small Hitachi excavator (35U) so I won't be running a backhoe on my CX2510. I will run turf tires as I have to be careful of the footprint left behind in my particular situation. I like the upgraded hydraulic seat and the 2 pedals on the new model. I think that they should have included telescopic 3-point lower link arms just to have one more feature to beat the competition, although these days people seem to just buy those easy-link units so as simplify connectivity. Are you okay with the size of their bucket? It seems a little narrow and shallow to me. I don't mind the narrow part of it as this makes sense considering the width of the tractor, but it would make better sense if they made up for this with a deeper bucket considering the heavy lift capability that they claim. All of their competition has a wider, deeper bucket for similar sized tractors from what I have seen (Deere, Kubota, TYM, Yanmar, etc.). It will work for me but I will probably be keeping an eye out for used 60 inch bucket in the future. Have fun with your new tractor!

@@pj2418 The size of the bucket for dirt and the like are fine for my needs. I think the dealer may have larger bucket options $$$. I just want to make sure the bucket is wide enough to cover up the tire tracks when backing up to flatten and compact, and that it is. When I need more volume capacity, it is usually something that gets loaded on pallets or moving big rocks. For that I have forks that slide on to the bucket, which I use a lot, as they come in handy for me. It also seems that companies make improvements and (what Steve Martin calls) de-provements. Which is when they try to improve, but end up making it not as good as it used to be. Like removing the split brake peddle and the mid mount PTO is now optional on the CX. So now you have to spend $700 to add the mid mount PTO shaft if you want the $3000 mid mount mower. Marketing. Also the KZbin video that shows the "CX Prototype" does have the extendable 3 point arms. Whereas my CX didn't have have it included. I thought that would have been standard.

Finally someone did a walk around of this tractor. I had a look at one recently but didn't get to spend much time with it. Only thing I noticed was that I wish they put the drive pedals a bit further out from the operator. Would get the ergonomics a bit closer to the jd1025r. Not sure if this is a problem for you but did you bang your elbow on the rops switching from low to high gear? Other than that I didn't have much for complaints on the little test drive I did.

My CX2510 does just want I need it to do. No regrets. There is the small issue with gear shifter going from N to Low, it will hit your drink in the cup holder which is right in from of the shifter. That should have been a little further out. If you have a 12 oz. can it works fine. If you have at 32 oz Yette that is wider at the top, than it hits the shifter.

Do you have trouble with your rubber floor mat flopping / sliding around/catching your foot on it? Also I couldn't figure out how to adjust sear fwd/rec direction. Do you need to clutch for range changes?
@capobiancg
@capobiancg 2 жыл бұрын
The floor mats stay securely mounted, and have not moved at all. You should shift from Neutral to either Low or High gear range to start moving and leave it there. I don't think it is design to be shifted once you are moving and yes I also disengage the clutch to change the gear range. If you need a lot of pulling power and or have hills to go up, you may want to think getting the standard transmission instead. I have not moved the seat. I will try it.

Nice tractor...is the hood plastic? I noticed that Kioti switched from a plastic hood to steel on the new CS series subcompact tractors.
@capobiancg
@capobiancg 3 жыл бұрын
Yes the hood is plastic. I kind of prefer the plastic over the CK20's metal hood. The metal did dent and fade. The plastic is lighter and easier to open and close. To me the bigger issue is you need to lift the FEL to fully access the engine area. I don't see a safety latch to make sure the FEL doesn't come down on you. The CK20 has the old fashion support rod to hold it open, whereas the 2510 has hydraulics with a lock to hold it open and a latch to release it back down.

Doesn't seem much changed from the CK2510. Dual pedals for F/R, tilt wheel (nice), quick connect bucket (nice), and power ports (I'm assuming 12v and USB under the black covers). The routing of the hoses from the FEL are nicer than mine but they changed that years ago. Good luck with it.

Yes USB and 12volt ports under the black plastic covers. I forgot to mention that. I also just tried the cup holder which is new, but it needed to be bigger and its too close to the lever which keeps hitting my Yeti.

Thinking of buying one of these for our place after checking out the offerings from the other brands. Even though I have sat on one at the dealer, it's great to get other people's thoughts. Looking forward to seeing you use it. I think the size and ground clearance is better than the CS for our place as we have lots of forest and hills. Is that a 4 ft flail? Looks a bit narrow for the tractor but should still do a great job.
@capobiancg
@capobiancg 4 жыл бұрын
I think the CS model is a heavy duty unit, great for mowing yards or really small areas to get to. For my use the 2510 is just right vs. the larger 2610. The 2510 has the same engine and lift, just smaller foot print. If I had a lot more land, I would consider the larger 2610 model for sure. I researched tractors for my first purchase back in 2005. I discovered Kioti had higher capability rating than other major brands at a lower price point. Not to imply one brand is better than any other, I just prefer the Kioti for my use. I do like where the front end loader leveler is located on the right near the arm rest, while other tractors include the CS are located forward and to me is less ergonomic and more difficult to control. It may be a matter of looking at the dealers near you for support, which brand fits your needs and fits "you" while you operating the tractor. As for the mower, I purchased the 41 inch because this brand was the lowest cost to get started and the 48 inch was out of stock. You need to match the HP of the tractor and PTO to match the implements. According the mowers spec sheets the 48 was the largest for the 24 HP 22HP at the PTO for the CX2510. I don't need anything larger for my use. I also wanted the flail mower to not extend past the tractor wheels so I don't mow something not intended to mow. This Betsco model can be mounted offset if need to extend to one side.
@wheelgun5102
@wheelgun5102 3 жыл бұрын
Glen Capobianco you may have just misspoke, but the 2610 has a larger displacement engine and more lift capacity. Though for a 25hp tractor I think this is the right weight, just needs a few more inches on wheel base. If they upgrade a few things ie make an se model it would be a great competitor to the Kubota LX in the same weight class.
@capobiancg
@capobiancg 2 жыл бұрын
@@wheelgun5102 I just check to verify on the Kioti website, the CX2510 and the CK2610 have same HP, "Engine Gross Power: 24.5 hp (18.3 kW)". I believe the hydraulic lifts are the same, only the CK2610 is a bigger foot print tractor, larger and weighs more. The CK3510 has a larger engine, Engine Gross Power: 34.9 hp (26 kW). The difference, aside from more HP and torq. is that it requires more emission controls on 25hp and above. So that is another reason for my use to stay under the emission control restrictions.
@wheelgun5102
@wheelgun5102 2 жыл бұрын
@@capobiancg yes sir they have the same HP rating, but I’d be interested to see torque numbers as the CX has an 88 cubic inch displacement and the CK has 100. I’m sure there is negligible power difference, but it’s probably there. As far as loader lift the CX can lift a little over 1k to 88in in height the CK can lift 1200 to 98in. Here is where the breakout force shows the difference as CK is over 2100 and CX is over 1800. Again everyone has different needs. That’s why I said if Kioti would refine this tractor a little more it would be a great match against the Kubota LX

Does this rut up the yard much. I plan on doing a lot of mulch around the house. I know the CS would be a better unit for that job, but I like the idea of a bigger tractor for other jobs. I was curious if this would tear up the yard. Also, this tractor Vs a CS2520. Is there a huge difference in capabilities?
@capobiancg
@capobiancg 3 жыл бұрын
The amount the tractor tears up the ground is dependent on the tire tread. The AG tire is for mostly dirt such as farming where you need max traction pulling and pushing. The Turf tire has the least traction and is for mowing grass etc. The tire I have on this tractor shown is in the middle. It will muck up your yard if you have grass and it is wet or damp. If the ground is dryer, not so much. You really need to base it on how much traction you need. As for the CS2520, I believe that has the same new engine but in a smaller foot print. The 2510 needs an adaptor for the mowing deck, where the CS doesn't. The 2510 has a beefyer backhoe with its own seat. I think all tractors have their usefulness, it just a matter of getting one with enough capacity to do what you need, and small enough to fit into placing you need to access. Hope that helps.

Do you find the Low range has enough push and pull power or would you say it lacks some because they have to balance the speed and power ratio in the gearing because it doesn't have a mid range . I am seriously considering this tractor its between this or the kubota B2601 which has 3 range. Do you have any cons to the CX2510 so far? Thank you.
@capobiancg
@capobiancg 3 жыл бұрын
No cons for me other then the ck20 had less vibration and used less fuel, but overall, I am happy with the CX2510 purchase. I had a ck20 prior and it was the perfect fit for my needs. As I improved my backhoe skills I wanted the higher pump rate which operates faster at a low rpm. That's why I upgraded to the new model. If you are on mostly flat ground and or going back and forth a lot, get the hydrostatic. If you are mostly pulling implements and need more torque and or going up hill a lot, get the standard transmission, that is with any brand. I like the features of the Kioti vs. the B2601. I would suggest sitting on them both and try operating the levers and see how the implements function for the tasks you need your tractor to do. Most top brands make a good tractor, there is no going wrong with them. Just figure out which you like best for your needs and ergo since you are going to be on it for hours.

Nice video on the overview . One question: On the Kioti website is says for "PTO type transmission" - LIVE. Anybody knows what that means? I do hope it is independent. I have a 1954 Ferguson now and that is direct. That means the PTO will turn faster as you accelerate which is not always very practical because in everyday use it means you have to maintain a minimum speed in order to spin the implements on correct speed. I do like the little CX here, hydro and all modern. But like to know more about the PTO. Thanks guys
@capobiancg
@capobiancg 2 жыл бұрын
The model does have a standard 540 RPM PTO (power take off) on the rear of the tractor. It does have a knob to adjust the speed below the tractor's seat. In addition you can "add" a transmission PTO which is on the bottom of the tractor. This is typically for the mid mower desk. It cost around $600 to add it. The other models do have the mid mount PTO as standard like the CK2610 etc. I believe it was omitted from the CX2510 as cost savings.

Hey I’m hoping that running gasoline in that gas tank doesn’t ruin your Diesel engine, I’ve always been told that an engine runs on fuel whether it’s gasoline or diesel fuel. And a motor runs on dc voltage or electricity. And the tank on the back is usually just referred to as a “fuel tank” only.
