These songs are what i used to hear my elders sing on the Navajo reservation back in the 70's and 80's when I was growing up, now i know they're Kiowa songs and their origination. It's good to hear them again. A man by the name of Horace D. from OK use to come by and sing em also....I would love to take part in a meeting in OK one of these days. The problem is, I don't know anyone in OK. :( My dad's passed on and we don't go to meetings anymore:( But deep down NAC is what we grew up on..Good 1's

Hearing these songs, I feel good. I miss my Cohn-gee, I wish I had recordings of him singing these songs. He loved to sing them with me when I was around him. Thank you for sharing this treasure with us. A-ho

@fasrunr My grandpa learned his NAC style from Horace Dakai. My grandpa's name was Jonah Nez and he was from Lukachukai, AZ. I loved hearing my grandpa, Horace, and my uncles tie drum in the middle of the day and just sing. The funny thing is that, as a young girl I always thought Horace's name was Horse. Such great memories with these beautiful songs.

maybe you could start back up by going to mtngs where you used to go or get in contact with your family. sit up with them and help them pray. its nice to go mtngs all over but theres nothing like the mtngs back home especially when your people are having a hard time. whe u go there will be some people frm ok and u can get to know them and befriend them.
