I'm in my 50s. Ignored Winger in every way in the day. I can't even watch 30 seconds of Winger to this day. But... I have found new respect for this guy after watching Beato interview. God bless you Kip.

Not me. The day madeline premiered on MTV, I ran out to the music store and purchased their debut album. If you get the chance, check out Winger's third album "Pull" You'll be glad you did.

Order their 3rd record PULL. You will thank me later. This was not the Winger everyone made fun of. Heavy AF and amazing. Cheers!

@@JskinnyGpeople only made fun of Winger because they were told to. Just like people were convinced Ozzy and Iron Maiden were Satanists. Which is laughable now. Except people missed out on legendary bands and artists at the height of their powers.

The funniest thing is he has massive respect in the professional music community.

I saw Kip in the mid 90s doing this solo show. The place was packed when he started, but 4-5 songs in, people started to leave because they thought it would a band thing. They missed out an incredible show. I never knew how good a classical type guitar player he was. His takes on Winger songs was truly astounding.

Huge fan since the moment I heard 17. One of my all time fav bands. Dude is absolutely legit and a beast for a singer.

Nice! Kip sounds great doing acoustic! He's very underrated as a great singer and guitar player! I still play the old winger music everyday!😎🎸😜🎤

What's nuts is he can sing better now than he could in this video again. He's got most his upper and lower register control back. Would love to see one of these shows

I loved Winger, but Kip's solo stuff haunts me to my core in the best way! I can, and do, listen to it all the time. I'm always finding nuances in his progressions that are not only inspiring, but thought provoking. He's one of the most underrated musicians and singers of all time. I love his classical music too, but the music he does that's in between Winger and the classical stuff... well, "I Can't Get Enough!"

My favorite song right now. Wow, just wow. Kip has aged so well. That voice is thick and rich, his artistry is just out of this world. Humble and also, the guy is still HOT as ever. Dang!! Loving this more than words can express.

I was NEVER a Winger fan, but after watching his interview via Beato (of course), I NEVER knew he was a legitimate musician. Dude, at 63, can still play and sing. I almost wish he would get the earlier Winger albums remastered. His solo stuff is pretty, pretty, pretty f'n good. Mad respect, Mr. Winger. Uber-talented.
@jeffs4760Ай бұрын
Kip rocks and so does Winger the band! Ive been following them/him since the 80's and even when he put out his solo stuff. All of them are great musicians. Saw him solo in Las Vegas back in the 90's. Same guitar. His improvising is great. In The Heart of The Young will grow on you! Rainbow in the Rose is great here at 28:00

Kip is a great song writer. Like so many singers that hit middle age / if you dont look after and maintain your singing voice properly you begin to lose your ability to sing in your upper register.
@seventallguitaristАй бұрын
You can say what you want about Winger (the band) and if they were cheesy or whatever. Bottom line is the entire band was seasoned studio musicians & hired guns. If you don't like them? That's cool. Not everybody band is for everybody. But people who don't grasp the talent in that band are just ignorant. Kip is and always has been insanely talented.

Who was Madalaine?
@nosesanmiguel8016 Жыл бұрын
He said once that she was a chick who Kip met in the 70's or 80's,a very "mean" girl, by him. I don't know for sure if that is a real history or not.
@ericvonha7694 Жыл бұрын
@Nose San Miguel I asked him at one of the acoustic shows and he said "I'll never tell" -- the idea came from somewhere and I'm genuinely curious!
@nosesanmiguel8016 Жыл бұрын
@@ericvonha7694 Well.., I just can tell you what I heard from him in a vid, nothing more. Keep on being curious, is a good way to be. Maybe someday, you will know the truth about "that girl".
