I believe they do have laundry available, but we didn't check it out. I read that they have it though.

How far are camping spots from the water? Less than 1/2 mile? Is only swimming area right next to pier or big beach area for swimming?

Depends on which site you're in, but the closest sites are around 1/3 of a mile, but there are a lot of stairs down to the beach once you're there. As for swimming, the beach goes on for awhile, so there are plenty of places for swimming.
