I think all the technology that generation Z and millennials grew up with might be part of the reason why some of the older generations think they have problems. All the social media has caused social anxiety with some young people as well as being judged on what kind of phone you have, what kind of tablet you use, or the headphones you wear etc. All the video games have caused some younger people to become addicted to them and to not develop good social skills as well. Although in the long run it doesn’t really matter which generation you are because God loves us all just the same. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year everyone! :)

So I'm 17. Turning 18 soon. And I think that this song needs to be listened to by all of our moms and dads but also our younger siblings that yell at us for crying when we get home from a day where we had work, school, practice, lost or friends and had a fight with our SO and still have home work to do. I live off of stress. I know I'm only 17 and people say that I dont know what the world is even holding for me yet but like the song says, I'm depressed, stressed, anxious, and still try to fake a smile ever damn day. I get horrible grades yet I'm in all uper level classes. I get home and honestly want to sit in my room and watch 8 episodes of whatever show I'm on but it's hard because time doesnt exist. I dont sleep. I barely eat yet I'm a bigger kid. We are told our lives are practically perfect. Why do we have attitude? Why arent we foing what we are told to do? I've been told for the last 5 years I'm going to and adult soon and people are going to start treating me like an adult but I still have a curfew of 10pm I still cant eat or drink certain things. I can only drive with an "adult" even though studies have shown younger drivers that are not under the influence of anything are better drivers. There is so much we are told that we have and we can do and when we go do those things or say we have things we are told the opposite. The world is not the same as it was 10 years ago. And it wont be the same in 1p years either, but the way we live Is not a phase as some parents say. Its 2019. Let me be who I want to be. Or. Just let me be
@ancient42634 жыл бұрын
"practically perfect" "when I was your age--" No. Just no. The goal of your lives should be to make sure the generations after you lead better lives than you had to. Especially since yours were SO horrible. Our lives aren't perfect, just different. We might not have to deal with the same problems you did, but that doesn't mean we don't have our own, and it doesn't mean they aren't significant. Just because you don't deal with them doesn't mean we don't. Don't "when I was your age" me one more goddamned time. We don't live in the same world.

Kota Bear that really resonated with me even though I’m 14 (eww your14 how do you have stress) it’s really hard to have friendship issues when you see the stuff going on in my country back home (I’m sudanese) and then balance homework and school and then get bashed online and being told your to young to have issues by our parents so I don’t care if you think 14 is too young to be sad and anxious it’s not your choice if I’m upset and it’s not mine either but it is your choice if you wanna listen and help me
@crimsoznt4 жыл бұрын
wow. may I just say that I am very happy that you made this comment. 1) because im 14 and I relate to this so much. Maybe a little too much. And 2) because people seriously need to here this. The adults think we have it easy and they think we have uneccissary attitude and then punish us and say we need to have respect. I don't think they understand that we know more abt what's going on in the world than they think. So thank you so much for this. And I hope things for you and others in the same position get better ♥️
