Kira's Story - Stella Treatment: Dual Sympathetic Reset (SGB) for PTSD and Trauma

From a young age, Kira experienced many forms of abuse, which put her mind and body in a constant state of fear. Even after years of meditation, supplements and therapy, Kira’s progress often hit a wall. After having the SGB procedure, she has found that certain words, smells, sounds and situations that would put her in a near frozen state of fear, are now seemingly insignificant. Kira has newfound ambition and motivation - she feels like she is finally living a life that is hers.

Stella is a financial rort! In Australia they charge approx $3000 for one treatment, one side. You can get exactly the same treatment from a radiologist with a referral from your GP, for about $500. You might need to make a few calls / emails to find a radiologist that will do it, but guaranteed you will find one in a major / capital city.

I am waiting, waiting, waiting for the phone call from Stella to get my appointment. This shows so much promise. I hear you like I hear my own quaking voice. Makes me want to cry after a life of pain and fear. Seeing your smile gives me so much hope. Thank you for showing us the way back to ourselves.

I'm a musician living with C-PTSD, clinical depression, and anxiety. It got completely out of control due to the isolation of COVID. Learning about this treatment is the first time I've felt hopeful in years. I _very much_ relate to "being scared to go check the mail".

As soon as you said even your dreams were nightmares I really heard you. All my life my dreams have been my escape from the cause of my PTSD but instead now I have CPTSD I dread going to sleep because those dreams haunt me as well. Definitely going to try this. I’m so glad this worked for you Kira xx I hope it is the solution for so many others who need a break from the torment too. Much love to anyone reading this in the same boat xx

I’m having this procedure on Friday. I have a complicated past. I spent most of my life doing the most dangerous jobs (military/counter terrorism etc…) I’ve been in denial about ptsd for a long time. But I can’t help acknowledge it when I can’t hide the symptoms anymore. I had 7 weeks of TMS finishing in Dec, had a good result from that. But I still suffer from the viscous cycle of hyper-vigilance often followed by extreme fatigue. Waking up to fear, and my heart jacked like I’m reacting to something other than just ‘waking up’. When I do sleep, I usually wake several times drenched in sweat. I’m a father of 3, and I’ve been with my girl for 17 years. It’s for their sake that o hope I get a positive result from this with Stella.

Kira, we have similar stories. I think a lot of women do, unfortunately. I've been on every pill released since the 1990's along with "talk therapy" and have had inadequate responses until I tried the SGB this year. It WORKS. It's hard to believe it's been available for so long and no one knows about it! I was treated by the University of California medical centers for 20 years with poor results and no one ever mentioned this therapy. That should be a crime. It goes to show that as a patient you have to look out for yourself and do your own research because even the "best" doctors in California won't. The healthcare system in the USA is a disaster. When insurance won't pay for therapies that have an 75%+ success rate, there needs to be a dramatic change in how this country manages healthcare.

After spending $3,200 for two injections and a Twilight sedation I was heartbroken to find that the procedure did not work for me. As a single mom struggling financially due to myptsd it was not easy to come up with the money but I did. When I spoke to someone at Stella about the procedure not working for me she told me it's not guaranteed to work for everyone and I will not be getting my money back. What a waste

Hang on till 2023. They’re using medical grade mdma for people with PTSD and that’s about a 75% cure rate too only you don’t have to keep doing it. It’s in the third trial for FDA approval. It’ll be readily available by 2023!

PTSD - Stella Center / Stella Program/ SGB Block My experience: I received treatment from Stella Center to get the Stellate Ganglion Block. After paying them and driving hours away to get This treatment, I found myself in a doctors office where the doctor did not care! I was treated horrible. He wouldn't talk with me after the procedure. I left with a pain in my neck and the doctor told me there was no way that I could have a pain there from this procedure. He told me it must be a hair or pimple. I still have this pain 1.5 years later. He then would not respond or help me in any way. The office was also very religious, (Pushing their views on me after I woke up) which made me uncomfortable and I would have chosen a different doctor had I known. I contacted Stella and was offered a refund, which I accepted. Fast forward to today and I need the shots again. I contact Stella center to get it set up. Not only have they continued to raise prices but they are just as rude to patients. I asked if there would be a different doctor I could see and got set up with a video consult. I ended up missing the video consult due to a medical emergency and received the most hateful email from their COO. I was told that I do not need the treatment based on my file. I do not have a file, I did not join the video chat or take an assessment. Medical professionals working with mental health patients should not be sending out emails like this. That email could be the last thing somebody reads. Literally. Think about it. They have also blocked my phone number, I found that out before I got the email trying to reschedule. I'm not a mean person and don't disrespect anyone. They literally blocked my number because I missed the assignment video chat. The amount of disrespect I received is not fair. I am warning anyone who is looking into this company to not go through with their services. I have found a doctor local to me who is willing to do the shots for less than half of what Stella was charging. Also Pain management is another option covered by insurance if you have other spine problems. As the shots go to the same exact place and is the same treatment just for pain and much more. Mental health is important and this company literally robs its Patients and Drs out of money and dignity. Check Glassdoor and look what the employees even say. It's disgusting

I did it without anesthesia and there was pressure and a little sticks but not a problem. After my shot my blood sugar went very low from no breakfast. The staff at the facility were fantastic and friendly. As far as the shot I did not get the “ah ha” moment I was hoping for. I did and still feel calmer and trigger much less than before. I do keep my anger in check better. It was worth it. I wish I could afford a second shot.

I live and struggle every moment of every day with complex ptsd. There is an conditioned sociopath in my head that battle. I would be more than happy to have her block. I can’t wait get this procedure. I’ve every connected and tune to my body and nature and the woo woo. I’m not at all worried about being “blocked” because for those of us who suffer everyday, for 30 years like I have, we will try anything. I have tried everything because living with debilitating CPTSD is not an option. This is your life and your recovery fuck the haters and the judgmental people. Do what’s right for you and your recovery. This is a proven treatment with minimal side effects, I’m going for it. Anything is better then living with CPTSD.

They inject anesthetic into the stellate ganglion which resets it. All of the anesthetic is out of your body within 24 hours. So while it is called a nerve block, it doesn't block or paralyze anything
