I keep saying, winter isn't over until Michigan says it's over! And yes, Kira the husky is hiding in the bathtub. She isn't a fan of the hood vent still.

Memphis Belle - so glad you opened with her. She IS adorable. I wrongly thought Kira was bullying 😔 her sweet sister - so sorry! Kira was just being a puppy still. First off, the maple syrup looks lovely. I did think it would be much thicker, like honey thickness, but maybe I’m thinking of fake maple syrup. Anyway, Kira and Memphis are super cute as always. I love the way Kira hides in the bath because the extractor fan was on! I hope she stops being scared soon. I just want to hug her so bad when she looks like that! I can’t wait for more content. Poor Kira. I wonder if she will ever get over that fear of sounds. Memphis looked so cute and cozy on the couch. I remember my wedding day on April 7 many decades ago here in North Georgia. It was a blizzard in Tennessee where my in-laws were coming from and it was very windy and freezing here. Will never forget that.

I sure had the wrong assumption since grade school about tapping trees to get 'sap' for making syrup. I always thought the tapping was done in the winter time and that it was slightly thicker than water coming out of the tree. Similar to pine sap, but more watered down vergen. It was also interesting to watch the boiling down of the clear sap changing to a dark brown color over time _ And the finished syrup Is Not as Thick as I would have assumed it to be, by the time Jessica and Jamie put the syrup into the jars. They set me straight. Thanks for being able to See the steps you took in making the syrup.

That was an Amazing video about the making of maple syrup, I Learned so much from watching your video. I loved it. I'm sure I'll have to watch it several more times. Poor Kira, I feel for her. Her fear grabs your ❤️. I don't like seeing her that terrified of noises. Have you asked the breeder if something terrifying happened to her or the other puppies that would have put that white eyed fear 😨 in her? Just worried and curious.

Earlier in sap season the less sugar you’ll get. The light the syrup is. The later in the season the more sugar and it will be darker

I wonder if there could be some high frequency noise, that Kira doesn't like, coming from the fan? Or a lower frequency noise, to weak for human ears to pick up, but not for a dog. Memphis might hear it too, but she ignores it.

There Is No Genuine Maple Syrup on the shelves Except the stuff that says it is genuine. Every other "syrup" says "pancake"syrup, or some such AND, if you check for ingredients, you will see CORN syrup with assorted flavorings. Yes!! Now corn syrups with flavorings are fine, especially if you have children, but not if you are hunting down genuine maple syrups.
