Sharp edges also break off more easily. I like that you trim slow. I think many people trim with a very high wheel speed. I don't recommend that.

Thank you for your comment. Is the trimming speed fast? If you turn the potter's wheel too slowly, your hand will move and it will be wavy.

初めまして、陶芸初心者で疑問だらけなのですが質問しても良いですか？ かたちを成形する時にキャンドルやお菓子作りに使うシリコンモールドに入れて型をとるというのは陶芸ではできるのでしょうか？ できそうな気もするし、あり得ないということなのか？ネットで調べてみたんですが答えがなくて😂 無知で申し訳ございませんがよろしくお願いします。

コメントありがとうございます。 柔らかいシリコンを型にする事は難しいと思います。 陶芸では通常、石膏を型にして成形します。押し当てるモノ（型）は固い方が成形しやすいと思います。 例えば泥漿（泥状粘土）を型に流し込んで、乾燥するまで待てればシリコン型も使えると思います。（チョコレートと同じ要領です）

@@kiraku-pottery Yes, I watched your demo on "how to make a rice bowl", there you used a banding wheel. I only hand build using a banding wheel, and I'd love to see your approach to trimming the bottoms of pots as you did on this video, but using a banding wheel, if possible. Many thanks!

そういえば昔、名前の付いている高台を調べたら確か30種類近く在り・・・一応、全て作陶してみましたが・・・昔の職人って？？？（個性を出したかったのかな～、面白いですね）
