I'm sure I'm late to the party but I refuse to read any comments because I'm super lazy. The first Carrie was actually on the Gameboy Advance and you could suck up enemies but there were no abilities you just sucks them up and shot them out. But I guess you could still count the NES as the first real Kirby game because it was the first one to have the abilities

watching new fans to the series discover how ridiculous and cinematic kirby finales always are is always really funny

i think thats your best video ever. it had a few skits but not too many where it’s convoluted like a scot the woz video and you still got across how you felt about the game i wouldn’t change anything about this video

I’m pretty sure Kirby’s Dream Land on the Game Boy was the first Kirby game.

Kirby and the Forgotten Land is the Kirby game I've wanted for years. A full 3D platformer with all the things that make the franchise so iconic. Hal planted the seeds several times through spinoffs and microgames, so seeing it all fully realized just makes me so happy, and the game itself is amazing. Easily in my top 3 for the series. The difficulty is also a serious step-up from previous games. It is still easy from a casual perspective, but completionists like myself get a pretty good package here - challenging goal times in treasure rifts, a post-game chapter that ups the difficulty, and one of the harder True Arenas the series has had in a while (if you play it without buffs, stocked healing items, or revives, since this game lets you pay to revive during the gauntlet, which I think is an odd choice) The only thing I could ask for was some alternate playthrough modes like what previous games have had - stuff like playing through the game as Meta Knight or DeDeDe with unique levels or bosses, or something similar to add some variety to your second playthrough. Who knows, maybe that will get added in a future DLC like what they did with Star Allies. Just have to wait and see.

I didn't like the demo because it was way too easy. Is there a way to make the game more difficult? I felt like I was just walking in a linear path solving simple puzzles. It didn't even feel like a game anymore. I used to enjoy Kirby as a child but I just can't enjoy it anymore.

I feel like it’s dependent on what you want kind of challenge you want from a Kirby game. I‘ve completed the main game and can say that while I haven’t exactly died a whole lot, the challenges and finding the collectibles really tested me, especially towards the end of the game. I feel like a good amount of this game’s difficulty comes from the doing those challenges, and I had a lot more fun than a good amount of the Kirby games that I’ve played (though, this comes from someone who likes most of the main games) I’m also somewhat in post-game, and I will say, the difficulty really starts to step up not that far in.

@Logan McGlynn I just don't like games with no challenge. It doesn't need to be Mario it just needs to have difficulty or it feels like you're not doing anything

@@jackflynn412 there’s difficulty if you are a completionism. The challenges are difficult if you go for 100% having to beat the time.

The Maine story begins with Kirby attempting to save waddle dee town, but than the mouse thing (idk it’s name) gets captured so Kirby while still saving waddle dees tries to save it, leading to Kirby fighting the final boss to save it.

Funny thing, I didn't even know this game existed until my 5 and 3-year-old daughters went crazy when they saw the Kirby balls at Target. They got me right then and there. I picked up a copy THAT day. My 5-year-old was able to hang for like the first 4 or 5 stages, but after that, the platforming got a bit hard for her. I ended up taking over as the 1P and actually started getting really into the game. I wouldn't call myself a Kirby fan by any means, but the game does have a charm and is quite fun!

Great video... Great take... But Kirby on NES was not the first Kirby game. That's why Kirby's Dream Land on GB had no power grab abilities... Those powers didn't come until the second game, which was the one on NES!

I also haven't played a lot of Kirby games, but my favorite has got to be Kirby 64: Crystal Shards. I played a bit of every game on the Wii's collection edition, but didn't care for the majority, even the original (which I also got on 3DS after giving up that copy to my (at the time) girlfriend). She at least enjoys Kirby games *way more* then I ever will. XD

Kirby games honestly never interested me until this game. Not that I didn't like them, I just had other games I wanted to play more. but I LOVE this game. Its just so wonderful. It makes me want to go back and play all the others.
