I think the "Repeating Bosses" is reference to how Canvas Curse worked. At the end of each world, you got to pick a boss to fight, Kracko, King Dedede, or Paint Roller. You fought each of them twice, with the second time being more difficult. Once you beat one twice, you could no longer fight them again, except in "Subgames", and had to pick a new Boss Stage.

I don't that taking old bosses from previous games is any better, to be honest. I'm not upset at all that Kracko, King Dedede and Meta Knight aren't bosses, considering how each one is in essence a boss in more than half of Kirby games. We still have that dumb tree though.

It looks ridiculous and I thought I wouldn't like it but it is actually veru good and has some extra depth, though depth may not be the word. The fun mostly comes from not thinking much about the lines you draw but a little bit, just the exact amount. Basically it's a pretty casual experience like all Kirby games , but this one is close to Returns, Triple Deluxe and Robobot for me, just for being harder than Canvas Curse maintaining the gamr's general idea fresh and extra challenges and stuff to do. Sometimes it is kinda smart with how to get the chests. Keyword sometimes, the rest is good and fun to do at the moment but nothing mindbreaking. Haven't totally got to the end tho

That’s not the same though, the whole point of those is to try and defeat all the bosses and mini bosses in the game with limits to how much health you get back, a true test of skill they’re complaining about this because unlike those, there’s not much variety and it feels lazy, I personally don’t mind it but I understand why people don’t like it

@@sabrinathompson785 well, the thing about them is that they’re classics and they always have new stuff added to them, Whispy always has a somewhat new fighting style and usually new attacks in each game and krako usually has a different 2nd phase in each game with a variety of new attacks, plus they are a great blank slate so it’s easy to adjust them to easily add new stuff, like flower, robot, and elderly Whispy they’re old school bosses and people like them for that since every new fight always feels different in some way, the problem with the bosses here is that it’s basically the same fight twice but with different hazards in the area, there isn’t really anything new and it can be disappointing to some people

@@sabrinathompson785 ...you’ve only played star allies, haven’t you? well then, allow me to enlighten you in mass attack he was one of the tallest whispy bosses and he had different segments you had to break that could get spikes or grow bouncing mushrooms, he also drops spiked balls instead of apples that could either break on contact or bounce and his air is like a spiral that traps and stuns your kirbys in rtd he could inhale you, create spikes in the ground in front of him, make poison apples, spit tornados, and summon enemies In triple deluxe he was flowery woods and could do a lot of new attacks with flowers, vines, and roots, could go into the background, shoot air shots that would split vertically, and could even fly like a propeller In planet robobot he was a full on robot called clanky woods and had a missile cannon, drills legs, detachable metal ‘leaf’ balls, and full movement there are probably some that I missed, but I think I made my point, you clearly haven’t played many Kirby games if you think all he’s done is apples, air, and crushing you, he’s done WAY more then just that

Being a HUGE Kirby fan, I feel bad that this is one of THE most forgettable Kirby games I've ever played, especially if it's a spiritual sequel to Canvas Curse (one of my personal favorites). It's basically a bastardized version of its predecessor, lacking copy abilities, other characters, and the entire purpose as to why the events of Canvas Curse even happened. This game, in my opinion, took what Canvas Curse gave and threw it away.

This game is FAR from forgettable. There are tons of other characters in this game. A sequel doesn't need to reference past events at all. So if this game doesn't mention the events of Canvas Curse it's bad? No. It even does in a way with Drawcia being a figurine, Eline being a magical paintbrush, and the "villain" being named Claycia. This game took what Canvas Curse gave and tried something new with it. Sorry you hate trying new things.
