*_Kirby's Return to Adventure_* A "classic" Kirby game compatible with up to four players. Players can choose Kirby, Adeleine, Bandanna Waddle Dee, King Dedede, and Meta Knight, with the latter four based on improved versions of Artist, Spear, Hammer, and Sword, respectively. The gimmick here is that by collecting Point Stars, instead of a 1-Up, Kirby and co. gain temporary access to "Dreamy" versions of their skills, resulting in more projectiles per attack, increased range, higher attack power, or other useful effects. After collecting the first Star Rod fragment, levels will also revolve around Kirby and co. switching between the main version of the level and a dream version to solve puzzles. For example, Star Blocks destroyed in the dream world will also destroy Metal Blocks where they were in the real world. The dream version of the level takes place in 3D, similar to the "Flip" mechanic from Super Paper Mario, letting some puzzles lean on perspective tricks instead of ability mechanics. The main collectible in the vein of Sun Stones, Energy Spheres and Code Cubes are Stardust Orbs, used to unlock boss stages, reveal secret stages on the world map a la New Super Mario Bros, get more minigames to play, and more. The extra mode, Adventures in Another Dimension, takes place in interconnected levels like those of Kirby & the Amazing Mirror, but on a smaller scale. Copy Essences aren't in this mode, and enemies can't be copied after the first time, but Kirby can switch abilities on the fly after copying them at least once. The switching ability is also limited to a small radius around the players, being used more like a flashlight to find hidden secrets rather than flipping the level on its head entirely. Due to Another Dimension taking away Kirby's ability to float infinitely and making his floating ability more like that from Kirby & the Forgotten Land and Kirby 64, the extra mode is more centered around tough platforming challenges instead of combat and puzzle-solving. Instead of the health bars featured in most recent Kirby games, the extra mode replaces them with the health units found in older titles. The game features all of the abilities featured in the original Kirby's Adventure, as well as Artist and Spear, but with their movesets from Return to Dream Land and onwards, as well as the two new additions of Sludge and Crystal. *Sludge* "Kirby's *dripping* with excitement! Use your *stretchy, goopy limbs* to grab enemies from afar, then *knock some heads* with a *Power Swing!"* B: Stretchy Grapple (Kirby stretches out his elongated, viscous arms. The arms will grab anything in their path both when they expand and retract.) B repeatedly: Stretchy Whiplash (Kirby flails his elongated arms to deal damage, keeping it up as long as the button is mashed.) (After grabbing an enemy) B: Power Swing (Kirby slams the enemy or Drop Star he has in his hands to the side and deals damage, much like Spider's Pod Slamabam move.) (After grabbing an enemy) B repeatedly: Power Twirl (Kirby spins around with the enemy he has in his hands, dealing damage to anything he touches, much like the Chuchu + Parasol combination. The longer he holds an enemy, the more damage it'll deal when he throws it at the end of the move.) (After grabbing an enemy) Down + B: Sticky Bounce (Kirby envelops the grabbed enemy in his arms, then bounces up and down like Ball Kirby. He can bounce up to three times, with each bounce gaining more height, and the enemy is released in a splatter of sludge upon the fourth bounce.) *Crystal* *"Diamonds* and *rubies* and *emeralds,* oh my! Encase your foes in *sparkly crystals,* and they'll serve as your *personal guard!"* B: Crystallizer (Fires a small crystal with a very short range and minimal damage. If the crystal hits an enemy or Drop Star, it'll turn into a bigger crystal, of which Kirby can have up to four. Crystals can cut ropes and will orbit around Kirby.) Up + B: Crystal Needles (Kirby causes crystal spikes to jut up from the ground.) L/R: Crystal Guard (Kirby encases himself in a crystal to negate damage. Like Mirror's Mirror Guard move, this crystal will negate any projectiles that touch it, but it absorbs them to slightly restore Kirby's HP instead of producing another projectile.) (With crystals) B: Crystal Toss (Kirby throws one of his satellite crystals to deal damage. The crystal will deal damage on both the initial and return trip, and can be charged up by three levels. (With crystals) B + B: Crystal Saw (Kirby's crystals will make one rapid revolution around him, with each one dealing damage.) (With crystals) Up + B: Crystal Missile (Each of Kirby's crystals will target an enemy, then ram it to deal damage.) (With crystals) Down + B: Crystal Shell (Kirby's crystals will tightly cluster around him. He can't use Crystal Toss, Crystal Missile, or Crystal Saw in this state, but the damage he takes is reduced and enemies that touch the crystals take minor damage.) (With crystals) Hold Down + B, then release: Crystalburst (Kirby hops up into the air and lets his crystals fly off. The crystals will first move in a pattern similar to the iconic "Cutter Shooter" attack used by several Soul bosses, then bounce off of each other and ricochet off of the walls before eventually detonating, dealing damage to anything in their path. Like Hammer Throw, this move deals massive damage in exchange for a skill; in this case, the crystals themselves.) _Join _*_Kirby_*_ and his friends in _*_dreams_*_ and beyond!_ _Embark on a journey to save the pieces of the _*_Star Rod_*_ from the evil _*_Nightmare Wizard!_* _Travel through the _*_kidnapped dreams_*_ of Pop Star to solve puzzles!_ _Up to four players can join the adventure as _*_Kirby, Bandanna Waddle Dee, Adeleine,_*_ and more._
