Can someone explain why the guy randomly asks for donations?

Throughout the event, people are making donations. A lot of them have comments attached to them that they want to be said during the stream. The reason why they aren't just saying donations the entire time is just because the speedrunners need to focus. That's why the speedrunner is asking for donations; it means there is a bit of a lull in the gameplay which is a good time for donations to be read outloud. :^)

Could someone please explain the reason he is playing Hoshi no Karbii on Famicom rather than Kirby's Adventure on NES? I wonder if maybe there were bug fixes to prevent some of the exploits used?

The one at the bottom of the boat was the last for me to find in this version of the game. I thought it was funny how much more obvious these kind of secrets are in _Nightmare in Dreamland._

The category is no major glitches, UFO glitch counts as a major glitch. You don't even really see UFO glitch in runs anymore because true any% is just a credits warp now
