I think the visuals in this game are very underrated. Yes, it's an NES game. Got it. But it may be the most beautiful NES game there is. It could almost be a gen-one SNES game. It's just so damn pretty.

Talk about a personal favorite from the NES days. When I got the NES Classic, THIS was the game I played most and still to this day. Kirby really hit his stride on the 3DS, but I definitely have nothing but love for this series. The marketing of a cute pink ball of fluff wasn't really aimed at my demographic as a kid, but it didn't stop me from enjoying it immensely. Much like Felix the Cat was your favorite NES game, Kirby was mine. Now I'm gonna have to go fire up the Classic again.

Kirby's Adventure was actually the very first video game I've ever played. It's definitely one of my favorite Kirby games, but I will agree that it isn't the best. I've always loved the soundtrack, (especially Butter Building's theme) and I always go back to play it when I'm feeling nostalgic. By the way, there is actually a remake of the game for the Game Boy Advance titled "Kirby: Nightmare in Dream Land," and that version has improved graphics, sound, and control, new mini-games, and even Meta Knight as an unlockable playable character. :)

The biggest nes rom. It’s amazing what they could do with that machine. Super Mario bros was like 32 kilobytes. And Kirby was like 700

I had this game back in the day and I loved it for it's great music and the colourful levels. I like Level 6 of the final stage, it's reminiscent of old black and white movies, which I personally think is a nice touch.

I always wanted to get in to more Kirby games. I have started this one a couple of times but always get sidetracked. I might get it on my Wii U and play it on the tablet.Still surprises me this came out in 1993.

Great, great game! One of the best on the NES! It's always a pleasure to play a game that is so much fun to go for 100% completion on. Far too many games get tedious long before you get that 100%, but this game never does.

the very first time, i ever played "Kirby's Adventure" was on a Game Boy. thanks to a dear friend of mine.... those were the greatest of times.... anyways.... now, years later, a cousin of mine happens to just be giving away the game's that he is no longer wanting any more. And do to my surprise? He have given me "Kirby's Adventure" and.... this game, was a Hell of a Great Time Ever!! i enjoyed, every second of this game, when i was a kid. Now? it's been years since then. but no way, can i ever forget, those greatest times. It sure, was an Epic Adventure! Thanks, Kirby! For the memories.

One of my favourite NES games. It's pretty easy but just fun and enjoyable to play. It also has remarkably good presentation. Considering the limitations of the NES, the visuals and sound in Kirby's Adventure are lavish. I played it when it was new so it's interesting hearing your views on it as someone who didn't.
@Cannotbetamed19 жыл бұрын
The Indie Ocean It does look very good, and is capable of having a lot going on on screen without the game slowing down. The last couple levels in particular are impressive.

I never played this when it first released, because as a kid, I thought it was geared more towards girls with all the cuteness. In recent years, I've been playing it on my 3DS and then on the NES Classic. Your points on the repetition of boss fights is well received, but by now, I'm sure you've found that to be the case for most platformers. It's been my experience when developers stray from that, fans get annoyed about it. All in all though, spot on, Pam.

Hey, I really enjoyed your review. I'm thinking of starting up my KZbin channel again by making a review for Kirby: Nightmare in Dreamland. During my review; I will be mentioning Kirby's Adventure. I have a question for you. If I make my review; will I be allowed to use some of your footage for when I'm talking about Kirby's Adventure? I will make sure to give you full credit for those parts of the video. It's okay if you don't want me to; but it is much appreciated if you let me use it. Thank you in advance. ;)

Weird the Score system did stay around when no one did care , How ever people did like the point system a lot if it was out of a set number are it was just the score system again. I was so mad at Mario World as Mario Kart tracks = worlds but for 1 so i was thinking that one was 100% vs 96%. i did spend like 10 years looking for it.
@johnbakasmoothhotchocolate6 жыл бұрын
The one game's point system I'll never figure out is StarTropics. That's one game that I don't get because the points don't do anything for you and on top of that, when you kill enemies in that game your score lowers. Point systems are okay as long as they have a purpose.
@johnbakasmoothhotchocolate6 жыл бұрын
When you play the quick draw bonus game, you'll probably never be able to be King Dedede in the 5th duel, no matter how quick you may be. And what Nintendo did was really a slap in the face: when they released Ultimate NES Remix on the 3ds, they actually omitted the 5th duel with King Dedede because they know you're never going to beat him, and let Bonkers, that hammer-wielding ape, be the final boss. A$$*****!

I've always liked this game. My personal favourite power is probably Laser...just love banking the shots off of angles to get enemies in unique ways, haha! One aspect I don't like about the game however is that sometimes the controls can feel 'squishy'...which sort of goes OK with Kirby, since he's a ball of...something squishy, haha! But I remember when I was playing NES Remix 2, the Kirby challenges were made trickier from the not-as-precise controls as, say, Super Mario Bros. 1/2/3. That said, it's still a wicked game that everyone should play! - Adam
@Cannotbetamed19 жыл бұрын
Replay Ability Laser's fun too, but I think I only got it the once. I definitely had some issues with the controls - I ended up floating during boss fights when that wasn't what I wanted to do many times. However, after switching to an SNES controller (I play on a Retron5) it happened less. I wasn't sure if it was an actual control issue or just me fat-fingering the up button though.

Had this and loved it. But my only complain on this and Kirby series is it's very easy difficulty ☹️ If Kirby had a challenging difficulty ir would have been an epic adventure.
@hermitcard44944 жыл бұрын
- Limited time flying. Like 10 seconds tops. Kirby receives double damage when flying. - Kirby having punches, minimal damage. Real damage by swallowing objects and spitting then out. - Regular enemies have HP and can only be swallowed when stunned(HP=0) just like mini bosses. - Swallow blocks and objects and spit them to attack. Enemy attacks could be stopped and swallow. Like an enemy fireball hitting a wall and losing strength. - Hard hitting enemies that take away up to 4 bars. - Power ups limited uses(like a Power bar just like Health Bar), since there are so many enemies to eat. But the power bar can get replenished by some food. - Some food recovers health, other power, some both(in different proportions). - Gradius, Space ship shooter stages with the Star(instead of taking player to another area). - Random enemy encounters in Map area, like Super Mario 3 hammer bros in map.
@hermitcard44949 жыл бұрын
Kirby was a favorite of mine. While I love challenging and masochistic games, for me, few games are so, charming and charismatic that I let go the challenge and enjoy it. Kirby would have been perfect if it had difficulty setting and system though, like flying for few seconds, not being able to use them immediately, enemies(lesser) having hp and having to KO then before swallowing them. Kirby is the only character that can be pink, but you never question his sex, hes a dude XD
