It's a bit unfortunate we don't get to hear it, but triggering this switch at 5:30 causes the joy cons/pro controllers to play the Green Green music via the HD rumble. Which is by far the coolest use of the HD rumble feature Nintendo has ever implemented. Also fun fact: That gold Kirby statue at the end didn't initially have all the Dream Friends. With each update that added a new wave of Dream Friends, they started adding each set of Dream Friends to the statue.

It's satisfying to get a perfect on the Planet Crisis Difficulty. You get a Blue fire and Kirby lets out a yell after the perfect hit. And then like 25 seconds of the Meteor destroying a dozen planets.

Ah yes, the obligatory Kirby's Dream Land reference. They do that in every game, or nearly every game. Can't blame them, I mean my very first Kirby game was Dream Land so I started with the absolute basics and you come to appreciate how simple this one is because of its charm, and the fact it's the only one without any demonic god entities in it.

Back to our roots, just as we did in Kirby’s Adventure. 0:23 Odd one-ish second cut there from Dan. Gets Dribble. Sees flaming meteors. Refuses to use Dribble and thinks the meteors are indestructible despite the star symbol on them. Jon really firing on all cylinders, eh? 2:05 Thank you, Friend Star ground mechanics that Jon never figured out, for forcing Jon to figure out that the meteors can be destroyed; he just wasn’t thinking about using anything but Plasma. 3:00 Reading is one thing, but you didn’t like all the little illustrations in those? Oh we got his flavor text. Too bad Jon didn’t think to pick up Fire. I don’t think we’ll ever see either Woods set ablaze in the LP. Sad. 5:27 What do you mean? Kirby’s Dream Land was already throwing in secrets! Where do you think the moon secret originated from? Another thing that is technically incomplete as the last Dream Friend does not show up in this statue until they’re unlocked. 6:06 If it weren’t for the two deaths, they’d have 201 lives, more if they stuck around in the gauntlet. 8:22 Kirby Fighters got two as did Team Kirby Clash! 11:33 I don’t think you need to beat the AI, just play the difficulty. I don’t think I ever beat the AI on the hardest difficulty for Chop Champs, yet my file is 100% complete. 13:10 It’s closer to the Megaton Punch equivalent in KatAM (which man that get 10 perfect games in a row mission in Merry Magoland was pretty terrible. Not as bad as some of the other ones like Egg Toss, but still pretty terrible). 16:27 The Guys needed to learn that they could let the meter build back up and that it wasn’t one shot per meter. Oh well, they got it this run anyhow.

A slight correction, but you DON'T need to beat Difficulty 3 or even play Difficulty 2 to count the sub-games being fully beat. If you just beat difficulty 1, then play the third one, that counts it as being fully complete, even if you don't win for some reason.

The Baseball with Meteors is amazing, because I find it funny for the power scaling it implies. Kirby has enough power, at base, to hit a meteor that can end his planet, not only away from his planet, but with a ton of extra to break through other dead planets or other meteors. Like, that's just bonkers.

And it's incredibly funny how you go inside a Game Boy to get through a perfect recreation of Green Greens, only instead of Whispy Woods it's a giant appreciation statue. Then when Jon takes the time to read the pause biography for Yggy Woods, I noticed that the description says "his neck of the woods" as opposed to "its neck" - this leads me to believe that Yggy is the sane grandpa-type who has his limits when it comes to pronouns. He won't have any of his grandsaplings addressing themselves as it/its, but he's fine with they/them! "Now Tropic, Whispy, I'm fine with you discovering your preferences, but you be like Flowery and call yourselves they/them! Y'hear!?"

Most of this trivia is obvious or already explained. If you're missing one or 2 percent, go check those. The swing is the most important part. The meter is best for the first 5000 for hard.

We start the episode with the obligatory "Gimmick vs Mid Boss" segment riding the Friend Star to Pink Ball Activate, the Robobot Armor theme from Planet Robobot. And after traveling through Green Greens with that stage's original theme in the background, that is the end of the Main Story. But there's one last thing I want to mention about the Main Story before moving on to the real meat and potatoes of Star Allies. First off, the first HAL Room in Fruity Forest. If you go just close enough to Whispy without starting the battle, you can back track all the way to the beginning of the stage to find a door to a HAL Room that uses Blowout Blast's version of Dedede's Drum Dash Deluxe's title theme
