Galacta knight is not evil. He fought meta knight because meta knight wanted to fight him. He fought kirby because he probably heard that kirby was a great warrior and he wanted a challenge. It says on the pause screen that he defies time to CHALLENGE kirby. That also makes him more badass as he defied time.

[SPOILERS?] (really though, if you haven't played Super Star Ultra, something's wrong with you) Galacta Knight is supposedly the strongest warrior known in Kirby's galaxy. He was sealed away in some crystal prison (that's what I think it is?) to prevent his destructive power from becoming a threat. When playing through "Milky Way Wishes" as Meta Knight, the same scene of Galactic Nova will play, except in this case instead of Marx asking for immense power and domination over Popstar, it is Meta Knight who approaches Galactic Nova with the intention of challenging the mightiest warrior in the galaxy. This is how Galacta Knight was summoned, and because he is the "final boss" of the Meta-Knightmare sub-game, I guess people just immediately assumed him to be evil (though the game doesn't really go into detail of Galacta Knight's origins) tl;dr he probably isn't bad.

Teon Windley Star Dream stated that Galacta Knight could destroy a few planets easily, however this doesn't mean that Galacta Knight actually did. Find me the exact part of Galacta Knight's lore that states that he blew up planets for fun; if you can't, your statement is invalid.

Didn't Galacta destroy Star Dream for no apparent reason other than to make a "*teleports behind u* heh nothing personnel, kid" moment during Meta Knight's subquest in Planet Robobot? With how HAL's been handling him, he's getting eviller and eviller. That doesn't make downright confirm him as canonical villain, but he's looking to be more of a baddie than a goodie at this point.

Sans Gaming it was stated in an interview the only reason Galacta killed Star Dream is because he “didn’t appreciate being dragged through time and space”, not because he was evil. He dislikes being dragged through time bro. Totally reasonable, I wouldn’t like it either.
