30 years ago a vacuum sales man came to our house and tried in vain to sell us a kirby. At the time was retailed at $2.000. We thought he was pulling our leg😨 later in life i realized it was true.

As a Dual Sanitronic 80 owner, I can guarantee that Kirby's, especially the well-kept older ones, are pretty much indestructible.

When restored and refurbished to fully operational order, no. When Kirby tests them at the factory they are run for i think its 4 or 8 hours nonstop back and forth by a robot as a stress test for each machine to make sure it does not break down after purchase.
