omg will do!! I was just talking to a girl today who is interested in buying the bag from me because she's never bought one before and I was telling about all the things she should look for when purchasing her first bag haha. I wish someone had told me these tips when I started chanel so that I wouldn't have made so much mistakes and have a collection that I love instead of end up with items I kind of regret!! And yes the inspection process is the most important part! me and my chanel bestie always take like a good 20 min doing it PER bag ahaha I see others who just see the bag and buy right away and I think about how I used to make that rookie mistake. for the cost of these bags, you really need to inspect just like when buying a home or anything you want to make sure it'll hold up and is the value you paid for!

@@NurseKirsten exactly! I would like a light gold hardware. But when I got to the store, the mini I saw had a light gold hardware that wasn't glossy like on the picture on the website; it was kind of dull/mat and I didn't like it. Even the leather was dull. It looked like a used bag that lost it's shine overtime, I don't know how to explain😅 Yours is stunning (the one you already own) Hopefully I'll find one like that before another price increase 😭

@@liyaah85 ahhh could it have been the plastic protection that made the hardware look not glossy? or did they have the yellow gold hardware instead of the light gold? sometimes when they make the seasonal flap bags they will use the yellow gold hardware which actually is less versatile than the light gold! I'm recently more in love with the light gold cuz it literally matches EVERYTHING!!!! And the leather is defffff a new thing! according to my SA they're trying to have a more "resilient" treatment but the leather just looks beat up ahahaha instead of that nice smooth delicate luxurious vibe right!!! haha. GIRL these price increases are insane... have you considered buying a bag from someone instead of the boutique? :)

The light gold is so much better, and yes it def goes with everything! 🤩I havnt considered buying it from someone because I want the boutique experience and having a brand new bag, plus nowadays even on the resell market the prices are so high. I'll keep looking. If I don't find it, I'll save more and get a small caviar classic flap cause they usually don't have quality issues. Are you satisfied with your small classic flap? did you have any quality issues? btw I love your chanel videos 💗

@@liyaah85 I def understand!!! the boutique experience is so awesome :) I do find the experience at Neiman chanel is better than regular stand alone chanel for me ! like I get more goodies and samples of other stuff like cosmetics and skin care ! unfortunately I bought a medium flap not the small classic flap and now I have regrets that I didn't buy a small classic flap before the price increase ugh!! the thing with caviar though is that its resilient to like getting wet or scratches unlike lambskin that scratches wayyyyy too easily, but then lambskin is so easy to buff out and restore, I think that's why the vintage bags still hold up and look pretty. but caviar on the other hand if it does get damaged then its gameeee over. its hard to restore the pebbled embossing , you can't just massage it out or paint over it. This is why for my boy bag I ended up going with calfskin instead of the caviar! I bought two and the caviar had a rip at the side and I was like oh heckkkkk no , and I returned it immediately lol. whereas my lambskin wallet after it got all scratched, I just got leather conditioner and the chanel glove and massaged it out and it looked brand spankin new again!

I personally prefer the look of the super smooth lambskin rather than the one with more surface area :) even in the small classic flap they like to use the smooth perfect looking lambskin because it’s shiny and beautiful! Delicate, but stunning 😍

@@QuietlyPeaceful yes that’s why I put question mark because I myself question does it affect durability or not and the quality issue is the defects I’ve been finding :) I returned it because of that very ugly defect on a supposedly “more durable” leather my eye just kept going to the broken part of the leather that I didn’t even unwrap the chain since I knew right away I was gonna return. I went ahead and bought it since I have a couple of friends who wanted it and they can never get their hands on one since they don’t have good relationship with an SA so I thought I was gonna offer it to one of them that’s why i also did an unboxing video to show her but she is a lot pickier than me and If I couldn’t accept the defect then she definitely wouldn’t. I still asked her just in case there was a 1% chance she wanted it . She’s the type who kept returning and exchanging for the exact same classic flap to the point the SAs said she’s too picky. So we’ve been experiencing like these defects in multiple bags . Anyways I have extreme fomo so I thought this one was gonna be perfect but I was wrong lol. It’s my toxic trait to keep buying thinking I’m gonna find a better one so that’s how now I have two mini rectangles but silver hardware and gold hardware and none of them have even been used lol and a black mini top handle too. Soooooo I pretty much have 3 of the same bags lol - my toxic trait!

Wow they are quite different. Both are nice regardless. Can't believe it's 5200 now!?? That's crazy considering their quality has gone down. I hope you're getting a new SA - that guy is lame. Make sure to bring yours so you can show the difference. I hope you get your money back.

I bought a replica of a Chanel brooch for $20 to compare materials etc. The real brooch cost $800 and was made of the exact same materials - brass, synthetic pearls, glass. 🤦🏻♀ The other one is a $40 one *yutulu* Backpack Replica - also works for Compare - I can't find any difference and still use it for the gym 😅 yt

Your prices are slightly wrong 😉but that’s ok. To each their own but Chanel is worth to me and for my wardrobe 💁🏼‍♀️. No disrespect but I think you are being too critical and too sensitive about how different this bag looks to you. Let’s not fool ourselves, none of the luxury brands are worth financially speaking, what we pay for, yet we love them and buy them because they are worth for us right? 😉 my best advice is, if you feel no excitement when shopping at any brand, move on to the one that would make your heart sing 😊

@@je-suis_Tati that’s the price I got from my SA! And what showed on my receipt before tax ! 5200 for the mini rectangle. So glad though that I returned it since the previous one I bought at 4900 is the better leather!! Yeah you’re right I feel like I just kept looking for the next high and the next high and everytime there was a new season i felt the need to get something even if I’m not even crazy about it lol I need to find something that does make my heart sing with nice designs and beautiful craftsmanship !!!
