I know this is super late, but I would honestly start with learning to style a different wig before going into it for your first time. Buy one to practice on and learn how to cut it and style it. Also, styrofoam mannequin heads!! They will save your life!

awesome tutorial, I will try my best! but I have a habit of cutting wigs way to short and messing up! I have some questions 1) where do you buy your wigs? 2) how long have you been cosplaying? 3) what tools do you use? 4) how are you so amazing at styling?! 5) do you do commissions haha? (Sorry if you've heard this since writing the comment, ignore this then) With cutting wigs too short, if you don't have an accurate idea of what the length will look like when wearing the wig, you can either; 1) put it on, and then cut but leave a bit more length than you need (to trim down if needed), or 2) estimate while it's on the foam head, and leave a good inch or so and trim down as needed. Wig cutting is a pain in the butt sometimes, but it takes practice, I recommend leaving quite a bit more hair than needed when you cut, instead of just diving right in and doing it, slowly chipping the hair away is the best idea. Maybe consult some wig cutting technique videos, when I started out I found it really helpful.

I've watched this for the 4th time now, what wig stand do you use? and how do you get the hair to not stick to your fingers while styling from the hairspray cuz we have the same, it it rlly sticky (idk if that is just me lol)

what I use for a wig stand is actually my camera tripod turned so I can use the handle to hold the wig head haha. They do make actual "wig stands" that you can find on amazon, but a cheap camera tripod does the trick for me and I already had it lying around. For the hairspray, I usually only have issues with it trying to stick to my wig head (because it already has tons of coats on it from previous stylings) Usually if I'm drying it with the hairdryer and only holding the spikes by the tip I'm able to not get stuck to it ^^ If you have too much hairspray on your hands though, it can help to wash them off every now and again while working!

I recently had a natsu wig ordered from my etsy, so hopefully soon I'll have a video tutorial up for how I make the wig :) As far as any help I can provide now, I'd say make sure your base wig is pretty thick if you want an easier time of styling it.
