The flower only blooms when a beast tamer is present, so Roselia not being a beast tamer would mean she can't just get her own, thus making it quite a rare item.

*NOT SPOILERS, EXPLAINING THINGS YOU DIDNT GET* So as you know there are 100 floors in SAO, and on each floor there is a boss that prevents you from advancing to the next floor. After beating the boss it will no longer spawn, and the next floor is open for everyone for exploration. Floors are entirely new maps with new and stronger mobs and different environment (weather, flora and etc), it is basically unknown territory. The floor with flowers was already long explored from what we can tell, and the top floor that have not been beaten are constantly being explored for mobs/loot/boss location, but being there is dangerous. Hope that I cleared misunderstandings about progression mechanics. Keep it up guys, you currently have some of the best animes out there in your list

beast tamer is one of the rare unique classes out in the game.. sadly the anime didn't dive into this until [spoilers] .. the flower will show up to a beast tamer class.. and the fact that only few can get beast tamer class.. this proves the flower is super rare.. PS: if you wanna know the skill sets.. you can play the SAO games..

There are a couple of reasons why beast taming is rare as laid out by the light novels. First, not everyone can do it. It's not a unique skill like certain things in the game, but some can, while others can't, and for those that can, even then it comes down to a matter of luck. Second, the more times you kill a particular kind of monster, the harder it becomes to tame it to the point where it eventually becomes impossible. It would be almost impossible for a front-liner like Kirito to tame a monster for a pet because his focus has been on killing them. Silica was exceptionally lucky she tamed Pina (I think it was on the first attempt), and if she wasn't able to resurrect her, she probably would have never had another chance at a dragon like it.

It isn't mentioned in the anime, but in the LN that Silica came across Pina(a feathered dragon) when she was taking a break and having a snack while grinding. She put out some of her food, which by coincidence was a favorite food of Pina's. There was also the requirement of her not having killed any of Pina's type. By doing so, Pina became her familiar.

One of the things they should have shown was all of the PKer players who thought it was ok to kill because "there was no indicator that players would die in real life" should be shown exactly how wrong they were. Would have been interesting to see their reactions to the suffering they had a direct hand in causing.

If they survived long enough to get out of SAO when Kayaba was defeated by Kirito, then they all would have found out the truth once they woke up in the real world and found out about all of the people who actually *did* die while trapped in the game. That likely would have broken them and left them guilt-ridden for life to know that they had legitimately killed innocent people out of pure greed or simply sadism. IIRC, Rosalia at the very least *did* survive long enough to escape SAO.

Btw they have to clear all 100 FLOORS of the game. Each floor is a mini world. They tell you in the subtitles which floor they’re on, but you have to pay attention to know how many they’ve cleared so far - regardless of what level they personally level up to.

15:39 Well, in the volume 1 of the LN author just skipped the time in the story for a year (in LN volume 1 it should be from ep.1 will be skipped to ep.8). This ep is from Volume 2 of LN, titled Side stories, and also ep.5-7 is from it. In ep.2 it's already 1 month passed, in ep.3 another month/s passed. This ep. is about a 5-6 months passed since they logged. There are currently 20+ volumes of LN and 3 seasons which season 3 will continue at April 28 2020 in the last announcement. But the author I re-making the Aincrad Arc (the arc they stucked in SAO which is this) and writing the full story of there 2 years in SAO.😊

Most MMORPG games also have divided exp gains when in a party. Kirito as a solo player isn’t sharing exp. If you think of a party of 5 getting say 1k exp from a kill they each get 200. Kirito gets the full 1k so he levels up faster but the members of the assault team aren’t actually to far from him. He can survive because he doesn’t freak out like Silica did when he finds a monster.

Kirito explained to Silica when she met him the flower ONLY spawns in the presence of Beast Tamers so Rosalia wouldn’t have been able to get it. I don’t remember the amount but a Beast Tamer was just about the rarest thing to see really in SAO. We only met Silica but in the games they made it seem like there was maybe less then 50 or so.
