Metallica is a class act. They are grateful for their fans and their success, they avoid opinions and politics, focussing 100% on the music, and playing every show as if it could be their last. They thanked St. Louis for a great night and even posted a video from the Cardinals locker room where they discussed their mistakes. Hetfield discusses the poor condition his throat was in before taking stage and how worn out he was after the show.

@qball1of12 жыл бұрын
Bingo. Who decides "the best" anyway? Music is subjective, one will find something better than another, it is human nature. Arguing that player X has more talent than player Y is a waste of time, take what you can from the people that make music interesting for you and just enjoy.

Personally, I'd say Slash is the _the_ most soulful lead guitarist I've ever heard. He emotes through his choice of instrument more than any other lead guitar player as far as I'm concerned. Fuck Van Halen, fuck Buckethead and fuck Stevie Ray Vaughan - they might be able to play a million notes a second but they don't make me feel anything. Slash however is the real deal. Just my opinion.

@andrzejnowak43154 жыл бұрын
I would agree with Dimitri Zeu only if the meaning of "great bands" meant rock arena bands worldwide known. Yes, this type of bands are going to extinct, just not because of computers compete with them on rock stage, but because of overavailibility of music nowadays (because it's cheaper now to produce and broadcast the music than ever) and internet piracy (illegal piracy like thepiratebay and legal piracy like Spotify, KZbin etc.), which causes complete lack of money in being a new, creative rock musician (not in music industry, they will always earn money). So what's left are "only" local new bands and local small dinosaurus sharing a festival scenes and just a very few big ones, still having their stadium audiences. Here's the good one documentary about that kzbin.info/www/bejne/p37PfZmoipqZoNU
