Yes , beautiful and classic European architecture! The design was copied from Melrose Abby in Scotland. The cornerstone was laid in 1951 and the first services were held in 1958. It is one of my favorite landmarks in the Detroit area. Thank you for watching and responding! It makes these videos worth making!

We use to drive by here as teens. Very beautiful. I don't remember what lake that is, right here in the video. I don't think it's Long Lake, is it? For some reason, I am thinking that was a bigger lake. I moved out of MI in the 80's. I miss some things about it. Lovely video.

Thank you! I have loved photographing this church since I was in high school with my first camera. The Lake is call Island lake and is very shallow. I do have other videos from around the area you might enjoy on my KZbin channel. mrclassicman because I'm old and I like classic rock. lol
