Only real musicians can do this and put it together like that. I will be listening as often as I am able. Keep working hard and keep it up... A GOD'S GIFT IS REALITY FOR THOSE WHO KNOW HOW.

I know Kirk plays Keilwerth sx 90r and used a Vandoren mouthpiece on GAJ chapter 4. How he produces the same sound with a P.Mauriat and Jody Jazz mouthpiece is a phenomenon. Legend I tell you.

From the classroom 55 years ago, I know real instrumental MUSIC. IF I could've been there I wouldn't have wanted it to STOP. A GOD'S VIEW...

Sorry P. Mauriat, I love Kirk and his sound on the Keilwerth: it has such a fat sound due to its diameter.

I wonder why he switched?
@BlackThreadDev3 жыл бұрын
@@jazzbystarlite he mentioned in another video that you shouldn't have to thought your equipment, or something along those lines, when he was talking about his mouthpiece switch. I'm not a fan of the hard rubber mouthpiece sound. But maybe it's the same with the horn.

@ Jeffrey Jones, I have to agree with you bruh, the P. Mauriat doesn't even have half the big resonant sound that his Keilwerth has...oh well, lol.

P. Mauriat??? Kirk has been a Keilwerth player...heh...did he change teams in 2020? :) Kerk's sound sounded a little restrained here. Audio guys...

Hi Anderson, thank you for your comment. Kirk Whalum has started endorsing P. Mauriat since 2019. www.pmauriatmusic.com/us/artists/artist/251-kirk-whalum/biography

Too bright a sound, not typical Kirk sound.

Is the P. Mauriat PMXT-66RCL the model with big bore, like the old American horns (and JK), or is it the one with the Mark6-Selmer-ish bore?
