I’ve heard that analogy too makes perfect sense to me. Jesus is the only ONE who can set everything straight the way it was intended

So much addressed & explained; I am grateful.😊 I listen to Luke very carefully. As you mentioned, Luke was a physician & those of us in the medical world know that EVERYTHING has to be documented or it didn't happen. And this is what he did as an eyewitness + having the mindset to teach others. Thank you for sharing. Helpful. Your Eternal Sister!✝️

Luke was a gentile. He was not a Jew. He was not one of our Lord’s disciples or apostles. It means that he was not a direct witness like Matthew, Mark and John. He just wrote the Gospel as the Holy Spirit led him and as he listened to eyewitnesses of Jesus. Blessings to you and loving Christian greetings from Slovakia. Blessed Christmas!

@MrJozifko Thank you for reminding that Luke did not see Jesus as His Disciples did. I was thinking of those he did meet & talk with who did; obviously I didn't acknowledge this.🤯 Oh sigh! I agree muchly that Luke wrote as guided by the Holy Spirit & how thankful he did. Even from afar, I love how we can be connected in His family. Merry Christmas to you & yours. From USA! ✝️

Tara-Leigh’s perspective on the rocks crying out was interesting. Only by being there do you understand.

What is interesting about that comment, the dead saints did indeed rise at HIS death in MATTHEW gospel.

Context. One law of interpretation is what does the audience understand? This also points to the resurrection. Great insight!

"Knowledge of good and evil" Everyone talks about a new awareness of evil entering God's creation, but I've been pondering [for months now] if that means there was a total lack of contrast in the perspective that HE intended for us. Would we pursue "knowledge"? It does seem like chasing your tail, or being chased by endless information.

The Word of God The Word/Law God spoke Ex.20 The Word/Law God wrote Deut. 9:10 The Word/Law God made flesh John 1:14 The same Word/Law God wrote upon the heart and the same Word/Law that hung on the cross, we now know as Jesus. When God tells us how to apply His Word in Deut.6:8-9 He is putting us in Jesus. It is the circumcision of the flesh and the beginning of our armour.

She danced on a dangerous ground in saying “His grace saved me, but I am neutral…this is not the full picture of forgiveness. Christ forgave our past, present & future, as Paul asks, should we sin to get more grace? NO! Grace changes not just our standing, but enables us to mature. The Greek word for (perfect) is Not equivalent to English word perfect, rather it is a process of fruit rippling from green ripe to fully ripe & Christ paid for our failures even in this so none of us can say, ‘Look at what I did (like earning our salvation). See Ephesians for explanation. Maturity is what God calls us to. God is the only mature one in the room.

We must also think what spirits we bring in our homes. The same goes for the cross. We need to get back to the original language. Just saying.
