One of the most underrated bands ever. In these days not enough people support music from the heart and real talent. Dan is definitely one of the most beautiful men ever. I saw them when they shared a stage with Counting Crows which was so amazing because before it was announced as a tour, they were my two favorite bands. Highlight was hearing Adam from CC sing Stars and Boulevards. Dan is so classy, singing about how much he misses his wife, so sweet and talented. ❤️

Augustana has been my favorite band since I was in 7th grade. I'm now a sophomore in college. I have lyrics to Boston all over the place, on binders, on my computer, its always my been my favorite song. I've never gotten to see them live. I'm in tears over this, both happy and sad. Thank you so much for this. One day I'll see him/them live.

Hace un tiempo empecé a escuchar toda su discografía y no puedo entender como no llegaron a ser reconocidos mundialmente por su talento. Dan layus es infravaloradisimo. Saludos de Argentina !

Dan has struggled all along with his music career, being a young father, and trying to survive in a vertible "sharks Tank" pop music world we live in where 75% of the number # 1 hits disappear and vanish, never to be heard from ever again in a month. Dan's been determined and stayed the course, and I'm pretty sure at an incredible cost to his life and that of his wife and daughter....God bless you Dan...I'm standing with you ....

Thanks for this! I talked to Dan a little after the San Diego show, I also was at the Minneapolis show. I also have chosen the sober life. I have fucked up soo many times in my life. His story and the way he talks and sings how alcohol has caused some bad situations and decisions in my life. I had the opportunity to talk to him about this and that his influence has made me a stronger person. He sounds great and can't wait till his new material is recorded!

How this hasn't made it BIG....I saw him with the band here in Seattle opening for the Counting Crows...pretty darn brilliant......His voice is stronger and you can tell he is clean/sober....Maybe record companies are afraid to push a person even with this much talent, knowing of the possible inducement issues....But I dig him...and his playing is not bad....

Just before the end of a shit of a year, I'm here listening to these songs that remind me when things were simplier. Back that day I've felt like I could soulve any of my shit just by hearing some Augustana and a couple of beers. I miss the naivety.

It seems like he's really happy here, he's close to a smile all the time, I think this is what he truly loves to do. And I'm glad he's happy, because you can tell by his songs, that he's been really sad. But on the other hand maybe some of the songs lose their affection or meaning here when he just kind of jokingly play through some songs.
