🇫🇮 KIRO - Käärijä’s CHA CHA CHA co-writer and producer - discusses Eurovision 2023

Finnish music producer KIRO - real name Johannes Naukkarinen - co-wrote "Cha Cha Cha" alongside Eurovision 2023 televote winner Käärijä. He spoke with us on May 24 - eleven days after the grand final in Liverpool - and reminisced over the songwriting process, the decision to enter UMK 2023, and his reaction to the song's success at the song contest and on the charts.

The song is mind-blowingly good. It doesn’t often happen that you hear a song and love it instantly, and then listen to it on repeat for months. Cha cha cha has all the ingredients for a perfect song.

now that weeks have past I can say, the most listened to song for me from ESC is surprisingly Ireland. I know, live performance was a fail, but the I really like to re-listen to it. contrary to other ESC songs, that made it to the top 5 in the final
