This is the plot for Kirsten Dunst's movie "Bring It On!" where a crooked choreographer sells the same routine to many schools and they all end up repeating each other at a competition. I think this makes the joke even better.

He's not making it up on the spot. The story was pre-planned and carefully curated after watching several other celebrity stories on talk shows.

@@Vesdus I didn't say he was making it up on the spot. The entire season is planned well in advance, though the "civilians" are entirely unaware. I suspect Jimmy Kimmel was not told what was going on.

@@AG-ur1lj I never said it was a joke, dawg. Whether you found it funny or not is irrelevant. I said I made it up. You're taking this way too seriously and literally. My point wasn't that Nathan makes tons of stuff up. The point was that it's silly to get worked up over an obvious lie on a video of guy known to do some pretty over the top stuff. I made the original comment and forgot about it completely until these replies started coming in. That's really all there is to analyze.

@@leafbellyyou understand that he's fake laughing? Pretty easy to do when you're mad too. Most late show hosts patented the fake laugh, its basically their entire point, ask a guest an easy dumb question, and fake laugh, thats it.
