As a 30-year-old, this evoked a strong sense of nostalgia and, unfortunately, pain, mostly the latter. It's worth noting that sport and recreation could potentially play a significant role in mitigating some of the drug-related issues we currently face but who cares?

As an athlete, this made me cry.... I had to stop playing sports cause there is no future😭😭😭 In a few weeks the Under 21s Women's are going to the Junior Hockey World Cup in Chile. And we have no national sports hockey stadium with AstroTurf. All funds raised by donors and the parents

I watched the Boston marathon last month and saw a Zimbabwean in the top 30! He was only a few mins away from Kipchoge. It’s crazy that Zimbabweans have to do all this alone with no support. I don’t even know who that Ngoni guy is.

Why did this get emotional at the end, I literary got teary. The warriors song too and the picture of young Kirsty. This is beautiful fam. Great episode and great analysis. It'll forever be sad to speak of former glory days and you did not disappoint us, they have the solutions but have higher personal priorities as the so called powers that be. @nathanmakombe Жыл бұрын
From a subjective point of view you can say all of his episodes are on point. On this specific episode there's research, facts and he is subtle on the last part in highlighting the solutions, ironically he had said he can't suggest anything. That's being clever. He hasn't done that in most of his episodes, if you've been following him ever since he started!!!
@kingkandoro Жыл бұрын
Thanks Nathan, I appreciate you for watching and engaging. 🙏🏿❤️ Even though I don’t think there’s a factual way of measuring which episode is better. Since all of them carry the same amount of research and analysis, what varies is the degree of humor in each. Maybe this one resonated more to you because you like sports and share similar views?

Really appreciate this episode, and felt to mention, TONDERAI CHAVHANGA, has a record most tries in a single match for the springboks, 6, something even the likes of the great Habana couldnt match. A Zimbabwean, yet how many here know of him. A quote from Wikipedia "He could run the 100 meters in 10.27 seconds, possibly making him the fastest rugby player in South African history"

🤔 my 2 cents is we don't look at sports nor entertainment as proper industry which can contribute to the economy. The other point is the economy itself. Another underrated point is the lack of local tv networks which is another reason why we don't have a deep connection with local sport.

It's sad Chibaba, I remember growing up, Marondera Country Club had one of the best Rugby Teams in the country. The last time I saw a match there was 2008. When I played for my school against the club, (high schooler playign grown men 😅) and I played a game for them too. Since then the sora grew so much, someone took down the goal posts and that piece of land has been sold. Our Men's Cricket, Men's Rugby, Women's Netball and Women's soccer should be a priority, they have the most potential. But zvisinei, hapana yekutamba, hatisirisu tine chimuti. Ma elections ndo masports ane basa, next competition in 5years, the Undisputed reign again🤣🤣🤣

A UFC fighter from Zim actually wears the SA flag on his shorts because as a matter of fact the Zim ministry of sport refused to acknowledge him, SA sports approved him wearing our flag within an hour of receiving the communique from UFC. SA told him to wear the flag for as long as he sees fit. Coventry is a disgrace.
