The Kirsty Meakin Core Acrylic Range!

It’s FINALLY HERE! We have an acrylic range!
So we’ve got, Glass Slipper, In The Buff, Strip Tease, Bare Booty and White Lightening. We sell a 33g and a 13g in each colour so you can sample colours, or buy smaller versions of colours you don’t use as often. The shape is also so cool, and I’ll talk about how you can use that in a bit. I’m going to start with Glass Slipper which is clear and SUPER STRONG! We’ve then got In the Buff which is a natural colour. Then there’s White Lightening, which is white, perfect for your French nails. Strip Tease is a pinker colour than Natural. And finally, we have Bare Booty, which is another nude. We also have our own primer, the bottle matches our gel polish bottles but is CLEAR, so you can’t mix that up. I’m going to use our sculpting forms on the Aleana hand and I’m going to pop my centre tab onto the back, remove my extra length along the perforated edge and roll the form into shape and pop that on the Aleana hand and close my tabs. I’m then going to prime the nail, and I can go in with my product.
I’m going to use my Oscar the Wild Brush because it’s a bigger brush and we’re starting from scratch I’m going to start with In the Buff onto the contact area between the nail and the form and blend that back and then shape the acrylic into the square free edge I want. I want this layer to be super thin so I can go on top with my White and still have the strength from In the Buff.
Then we’re going to use Bare Booty over In the Buff and create my smile line and then fill in the cuticle area with Strip Tease. Once that’s set up, I’m going to take a file and sharpen up my smile line and make a ‘wall’. I’m then going to add my White Lightning to finish off my French and finish it all with a file and a buff. I’ll Top Coat these because I’m not adding any sort of design to this nail.

Dear Kirsty, any secret on how to do a french smile line with your non-dominant hand? French it's beautiful, i do my own nails but it looks weird and unequal on all my right hand finger nails. I use a size 8 brush. Would you recommend size up?

I’ve been experiencing an allergic reaction to acrylic in the past year & now gel as well. I used to use young nails for years & out of no where it just started making me itchy & swell up. Blisters on my fingers. Now gel is giving me the same reaction. Anyone else experiencing this or know of anything that can help? Miss doing what I love.
