Hey everybody and welcome to the Kirsty Meakin Show!
In today's video, we will be taking another look at the crackle effect and having a good play around with the technique lets get crackling!
So I have the same Jelly stamper as we used last time it's a little bit poorly but it's going to be fine for what we are doing today no need to wreck another one, I’m using the Clear Jelly stamping paper to clean up my stamper.
So for my first test, I’m going to try using chrome powder instead of pigment and I’m also going to try transferring a complete image, in this case, its gonna be a cute little love heart and I’m going to try in both black and white see which one is best.
For my next test, I’m going back to the beautiful bright pigment and I’m going to try doing a full nail so ill use some foil glue to get the nail nice and sticky, and then ill stamp the pigment onto the nail and finally going over in gel polish I think we will go over it with some zebra print
For my third test, I want to do kind of like what we just did only different I’m going to try stamping onto the sticky layer of the gel polish and having the crackle on the lines instead of under them.
Well there you are guys that's just about all the Crackling I can handle for one day I hope you enjoyed the video and ill see you in the next one.
Lots a Love KM xoxo

I know that there are a few people that do the replacement buffers and whatnot, but hearing your excitement about your new product made me giggle. It doesn't matter if other people already have them or not (saw some pretty snarky comments about that) because it's new to you, so go ahead and be ecstatic about it. You deserve it because it's YOUR new product, plus not everyone can find them. It took me forever to find them and that was after I learned about their existence because I didn't even know that they were a thing until about 6 months ago. And while they may be cheaper elsewhere, I would ABSOLUTELY buy yours because I love your branding and design. I would pick that beautiful skull design (and pay more for it) before I would pick a plain bland design just because it's cheaper. I love hearing the joy and excitement in your voice about your products. ❤

I wonder if those silicone face sponges would work in place of the jelly stamper? They tend to be thinner, so they might be able to bend a bit more while lasting longer?

Couldn’t you stamp it all on the nail then take clear gel then draw ✍️ the 🦓 zebra strips cure it then take a tissue and wipe off the nail and the stamped colors would be left were you put the clear gel?!!! I'm thinking as I watch... chrome the Stamper, draw your design with gel polish on your nail, then stamp the powder on & cure- but then I'm like - you could just chrome the design. Unless you put a clear acrylic paint on Stamper first, then the pigments? To try to get the crackle.. lol now I want to try some different ways

I think the problem is the paint won’t separate when you lift off the stamper, it’s not ‘broken up’ enough that it only takes what is sticking to the transfer gel, does that make sense? If you had a much thinner paint it might work better and manipulate the stamper more to break up the paint so it will separate better.

Now if your magic can float over here to Florida and find out why not one single tech can keep my nails from lifting. My son bought my daughter nail stuff. I CANT EVEN DO IT the acrylic must be fast dry. I love your stuff GADS !!! Just learning to be a single Mom and my 15 year old is turning 16 in April. She wants a stand mixer (for 5 years now 😂) and your stuff, by she's annoyed and thinks she is a failure at nails. She's very artistic and has won awards at school, so for now she put it on a back burner for a bit. She has a desk all set up it's adorable. I sent back the drill and the Beetle polish. The drill kept stopping and the polish needed at minimum 5 coats. So lumpy. For now I Can't do either($$). So my son bought her a pug puppy without talking to me. Love him for that. I'm still watching your videos with little Petunia who won't sleep. It's 3 am for me. 😜🥰. I'm trying to do the Fay nail protector with a pot of clear gel I have and a hand file. Clear short nails are fine for now.
