How to Correctly Infill Acrylic Nails and Change the Design

Heya Duck! In today’s video, we’re doing something absolutely fabulous - creating a Snow Leopard-inspired nail design! My client Andrea and I had a creative brainstorm, and we decided to switch up her nails from tortoiseshell to something equally fierce but a little cooler-toned.
We started by carefully removing the old design using my trusted e-file and prepping the nails with the Multi-Prep Bit (honestly, if you don’t have this bit in your life, you’re missing out!). I’ve also shared some tips on handling delicate skin types, so if you’ve got clients with butterfly wing-like cuticles, you’ll love this part.
For the design, we’re diving into some gorgeous gel art with Snow Leopard patterns. We’ve combined white gel polish, silver ribbons for shadow and shimmer, and black accents to create depth and texture. I’ve even shown you how to make the pattern look furry and textured with a unique tap-tap technique.
And because Andrea always needs a bit of bling, we’ve added metallic 3D elements and topped it off with gold chrome details - a warm contrast to the cool gray tones. Honestly, the nails turned out stunning, and I can’t wait for you to see them in the gallery at the end of the video!

So glad you talked about not using that gummy gel with your bare hands. I see so many people using this stuff without gloves (and even the manufacturers show demos with no gloves!) and it drives me absolutely crazy. There's a reason gel allergy rates are going through the roof and it's mostly because of people getting uncured gel all over their skin using products like that stuff. So easily prevented...🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️ I think the index nail almost looks like what's called a serpentine chain.

I have several twisty nails, it's an uneven C curve and smile line because of scarring from biting my nails, they dip lower on one side. I can minimize the visual impact on my natural nails by knocking down the corner of the free edge on the low side but if you're looking, you'll see it. Any longer than sport length has to be gel or acrylic extensions to correct.
