I know this is late af but the supplies doesn’t make the art good or bad! Oftentimes, expensive supplies can make it easier, but it doesn’t mean cheaper stuff will make it impossible!
@rachelcorn10783 жыл бұрын
Expensive supplies does not automatically equal great talent. Use what you can afford and don't compare your work to anyone else to bring yourself down. Take polite constructive criticism, but ignore the haters. I have some of the more expensive colored pencils, but I still use my Crayolas a lot. About half and half. Make a color chart using some graph paper and write beside them their color. Then compare them to what the tutorial shows.

Beautifull tutorial, help me a lot, just one question, I know that the white prismacolor pencil is smother and better for this work, but unfortunelly I dont have one, doesnt the white faber castell pencil do the same work at smoothing or you recommend other thing to smooth the transition, sorry if my inglish isnt very good, im still learning, love your work!!
@navya16064 жыл бұрын
The white prismacolor is better than the white fabercastell, but any white should work.

Kirsty Patridge Art, how would this work if you had hair with two colors? I'm working on a book and plan on drawing pictures of my characters to better visualize them, but one of them has white hair with red tips. Do you have any advice that could help me?
@robertdarrell21168 жыл бұрын
You may have already answered this elsewhere; however, hoping it is an easy question and thus you won't mind repeating yourself. You use a white Prismacolor pencil...would using a while Caran d'Ache Luminance pencil achieve the same result? I gave away all my Prismacolor pencils but have a full set of Luminance.
@KirstyPartridgeArt8 жыл бұрын
Hey yes the luminance would be fine as they are both wax based 😊 I actually use the white Caran d'ache now for blending. The only thing I have noticed is the luminance is more opaque than the prismacolor so the luminance does lighten the colours up slightly more than the prismacolor. On my Justin bieber portrait I used the luminance white to blend the hair so if you check that out you can see that you can achieve the same results 😊
