Bhai Santa Singh ji was one of the best Guru Ghar ke Keetania Singh with a unique style of his own and such a beautiful voice in high notes. Late Bhai Bahkhshish Singh ji, ex hazzoori ragi used some of his notations in his own great style and with his WaheGuru's blessed heavenly voice. If I'm not wrong, Bhai Santa Singh & Bhai Surjan Singh used to Singh together in early days. Later on after they split up, Bhai Surjan Singh went on to record the all time great Asa Ki Vaar, 4 LP's accompanied by Giani Arjan Singh and Bhai Prem SIngh ji on tabla. The recording took place in All India Radio Jalandhar back in 1963. Giani ji used to tell us that Bhai Surjan Singh used to say that we're going to sing with one note higher than the previous ragi jatha who had been on stage before them. That was the sort of passion they had and the talent to go with it. Giani Arjan Singh ji lived in Leeds, UK in the mid 70's and we had the fortune to be with him and record his live keertan and still have it to this day.

Classical music is good music

Sorry to say, Classical music is different from Gurmat Singeet. There is no Sargam but it is about singing Gurbani. Most Classical singers sing a line that is repeated with different improvisation. Adding Gurbani in Raag and Taal is a different level of difficulty that most Classical Singer wouldn't attempt. Humble apologies, I am just stating the different between the two and provide Gurmat Sangeet that our Gurus Sung the respect it deserve 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
