This is highly innovative music, unlike anything I've heard previously, and yet still is very listenable. It doesn't really fit into any genre which is somewhat remarkable in itself. I've listened only once, but it strikes me as music that one could listen to repeatedly and not tire of it.

I saw Mike and his space banjo at a festival in my home state once. It led me to find his music online which in turn brought me to Kishi Bashi. I love these guys and their music so much. Always puts me in a better mood. :)

Awesome sound!!! I think this should be a permanent if not semi permanent collaboration! Really getting into Kishi so cool, I love Mike's solo stuff too!!! They should go by a new name to define the lines between their respective individual groups. Just for ease of finding material, Tall Tall trees unfortunately often gets me an Alan Jackson song lol

vampcaff Haha! If no joke was intended, it can't be racism. Obviously there's a lot of English in there, but sometimes it sounds like another lingo is being used. No slurs at all, friend. In fact, I like the song.

I liked his pre band stuff more. I feel like when he was solo he was forced to be more creative. This newer version of this song just sounds less melodic and transient.
@Kingspawn00010 жыл бұрын
That's the great part though! He's constantly evolving, adapting, and collaborating. Every time I see Kishi play the setup is always slightly different. His "backing band" are all artists in their own right (especially the magnificent Tall Tall Trees). This to me is just a bunch of talented dudes jamming together. Not necessarily better or worse. But I like... respect your opinion man. ;)
