Like Drishyam, the secret of the family has to be protected much to the family's happiness. Since Appu Pillai is suffering from memory loss, it's a ploy from him to get remembered where his grandson is buried. Which is why he is unwilling to sell the land. It's an open end climax left to the choice of the audience. Clever screen play.

i watched the movie today. I felt something different. The movie has an open ending like Andha Dhun. We can imagine and intrepret in our own ways. Among Malayali audience, a theory is coming out, Asif Ali is trying to save his father with his narration. Truth koi dekha hi nahin, never it's shown to us too. It's only shown to us thru Asif Ali's words. S, it's possible he can lie, hai naa? What if the real truth is something totally different? In the case of dead monkey also, its not shown boy killing it. It's Vijayaraghavan's version which he tells his friend Jagadeesh. What a brilliant script!! If the screenwriter can come up with a total new version of the story, he can make a sequel. What if Asif Ali is the culprit and Vijayaraghavan knows it...because he clearly tells, he is sure, one of the parents is the culprit and after reaching the conclusion, he burns it...maybe to save them One more important point is>> Blood stains in wife's dress. Actually I didn't notice it. Ok, let's assume there are blood stains in her dress while taken to hospital. It can't be director's fault so much detailing that he can't make such a silly mistake. If so...it well connects with my theory that Asif is the culprit and it's his narrated story only.... otherwise the couple would have caught that time itself. Also Vijayaraghavan clearly tells, one of you two is the culprit while burning paper and Asif stays numb. What if, the real thing which he found was never shown to audience!!! Why Vijaya Raghavan is not looking into the possibility of boy killing himself?...because he clearly reaches a conclusion!!!

Ther is is another detailing of forest watchers hand which is shown as tied with cloth as if to cover a wound and in the last scene where he raises his hands to greet appu pillai, there is a healed wound mark on his right palm...

The thing is for a movie like this we could explain some loopholes even if the writer didn't intend it to make sense. Like why the doctor was not concerned about the blood cause maybe in the scuffle with the child, she might have been injured which they could easily cover up as her being injured after a fall or something. And since it was only a suicide attempt and the woman recovered so no foul play would even be suspected and also after the doctor knew the wife was doing chemo she was empathetic towards them. Also chachu going missing was shown as a regular instance so the police might not have searched properly in any other angle than as a missing case especially with multiple sightings of the child reported after.Also with the fact that the police is shown as incompetent it is not a far cry that they didn't do a good job and since the family is not as keen on pressing for more the case would just be a missing case

My doubt after seeing the movie was about the gun. Where did the monkey get the gun from and who owned it? Or was it a toy gun? In the movie its already said that bullet shot on the sign board was from a piston ,but later its also shown that appupilla had hidden it. Or is it that appu pilla has two guns?

Come on, buddy!!! Don't tell me that you can't pronounce this name? It is derived from one of the Kand's of Ramayana Kishkindha Kand in malayalam it would end with "am" like in Sanskrit.

It is shown that Asif Ali's first wife recovers after suicide attempt, but after that it is not shown where she gone after that, what happened to her? Why Asif Ali married second time? Can anyone share a comment to this?

He is not a friend, he is a Psychiatrist pretending to be his colleague in the army because Appu Pillai would never agree to a treatment by a Psychiatrist. Whenever Asif Ali asks him to see a doctor he vehemently refuses to take any kind of treatment for his “selective” loss of memory! Selective because he doesn’t forget people like his family members & the people known to him in his vicinity! Strangely, he gets confused with the roads & takes his son’s help & the route bus to reach home!

My findings are as follows :) 1) Chachu got killed accidently by Ajayan, not his wife. He lies to Aparna that it happened with the hands of his former wife. 2) Seeing this, Ajayan's wife attempts for suicide by consuming sleeping pills and Ajayan takes her to hospital after locking the room where chachu's dead body is lying. 3) Appu Pillai buries the dead body of Chachu and cleans the place (as he was sure it happened either by Ajayan or his wife), but he forgets about it next morning. 4) In the begninning of each loop, Appu Pillai tries to find out the missing 2 bullets. From Jagadeesh's character, he knows about the 1st bullet used for killing the monkey. 5) Appu Pillai then find this out at the end of each loop that Ajayan was the one responsible for chachu's death hence destroys the findings that he drafted to save his son. 6) Ajayan doesnt ask his father where he buried chachu's body as he knows it will open up the case and everyone will be in troubole.

@@FilmiCharcha-with-Kunal Appu Pillai kiils the monkey not Chachu but he leaves the gun on the floor. Chachu keeps the gun with him thinking it’s his toy gun. Ajayan find this out and tries to snatch the gun from chachu and while doing so the gun gets fired by mistake. It’s the same story he tells aparna but he replaced himself with his former wife

@@TheSkn007no dear Chachu only kills the monkey… in starting asif Ali was telling aparna that monkeys are biggest enemies of chachu..coz they are taking his toys and stuff..and appu pillai never kills the monkey becoz he knew very well about the consequences of killing a wild animal and using bullets without any reason

I was thinking..monkey is the culprit/no vijaya raghavan /No the doctor/no asif ali/…last 20min..wot is gng on..when the movie finished..,no this movie is not something live upto the hype..later ..keep on thinking the conclusions and hints ..😂😂😂..
