Very good informative post.. I like pyar ka mausam me youdling( tum been jau kaha) . kishore da proved kiye the sad song me bhi youdling ka proyog kaise kiya jata hain. And a bengali movie named "kalankini" Kishore da's youdling was excellent. Song tha " kono kaj noy aaj" . sang for amol palekar. Music director shyamal mitra. Thanks

Some very important information is missing here. Kishore Kumar started yodelling from his very first film as a hero, Muqaddar (1950). The song was Ek do teen char bagon me aayi hai bahar, karke singar... by Asha Bhosle and KIahore Kumar. Actually by the end of the song Asha Bhosle joins KIshore KUmar in yodelling. Second correction: Anoop Kumar was his elder brother. Kishore was the youngest in the family.

Well researched. As you told, yodelling is not a part of indian singing not used in folk or desi songs. So very few artists pay attention. Even in Bengali, singers like Hemant kumar, Talat Mahmoud, Manna De, Shyamal Mitra given no attention on this. Kishore Da succeeded only in 70s especially in the song Zindagi ek safar hai suhana, happy version. Sad version by great Rafi had no room for this.
