This is a surprisingly nice video. Good narration, steady pace. Clear instructions. I am a warhammer veteran and got most of this information down to a T. But, it was still very enjoyable to watch this. Well done.

I usually go for growth/defense/replace growth with income/other, as you never know what might spawn right in the middle of your territory, with no army nearby to intervene...
@michaelyang8382 жыл бұрын
Defense is always good in warhammer, for example if you want to play Dawi faction from wh2 in legendary, good luck playing without walls. If you play on high enough difficulty, spamming growth without income to balance, your economy won’t move and can’t sustain through the early game.

Wow, this was quite good - thanks! Given how much WH3 KZbin content I consume, I am shocked that this was the first video I've seen of yours. I guess KZbin algorithms work in mysterious ways.

Been playing since WH1 and I honestly always thought it was growth->defense->income, but maybe that explains why I'm usually always slow to expand. Definitely going to try the method you explained instead. Thanks for that and everything else here. Very insightful and helpful.

I am one of those player who doesn’t build defense buildings in total war games. My logic is for weaker enemy threats, the garrison is enough. If it’s a stack that my garrison can’t handle then usually doubling that garrison isn’t going to make that much of a difference either so instead of wasting money and slot on the defensive building, I just make more money with my settlements by not building defense buildings at all and instead use that money for more armies to allow for more aggressive pushes early to get a better border. Plus, being defensive is punishing on higher difficulty as the AI have really high discounts and can keep sending waves after wave unless you take their land away

Great video as always ST. Happy you got included in this series.

14:00 the fact that the CA SPONSORED GUIDE video on economy gets confused on what "local region"/"local army" means on buffs, just goes to show how ambiguously crappy all of those "local" tooltip descriptions in TW games are.

he did not know that local region is one city opposite to province. That's the shame for guide maker

Or - that they chose a bad content creator tbh. Shouldn’t be making a guide if you haven’t really tested these things out extensively. But he free internet monies I guess.

@@bernardfresson1951 wait what? I've always been confused on this, could you elaborate?
@psibrunoaquino11 ай бұрын
@@stevealbert4050 A province is the collection of all the minor and major settlements in an area. For most factions, controlling a province allows you to enact a commandment for bonuses for the whole province. A region is an area around a major or minor settlement. If you hover the mouse over land on the map and wait, a popup shows with information on what region it is. When two different factions control different locattions, you can see a faint line that shows the borders of the regions. For all bonuses it will say local or province wide. In WH3, they introduced provinces in Kislev and in Ogre mountains which have only minor settlements. It used to be that provinces had a major settlement and 2 or 3 minor ones, or were only a major settlement, like Sartosa, the wood elves cities etc. In Kislev's case, to get the most income of the minor settlements, you build a farm, a hallowed woods to give bonuses to the farm, and a market. Overall though, the woods and farms will cost a lot more than they give back as income to be worth it, it's that they have other embedded bonuses that are not income related. Their markets are also more or less compared to other races, because at level 1 it's 1000g for a 100g income, so it takes 10 turns to break even and then give profit. Other races have better ratios, and of all that one would not think of, the greenskins have a much better one for that at 500g cost for 250g income! Kislev benefits from trading for income, and more from markets for late game too.

pretty detailed video. if you want to maximum growth with small tax boosts its worth investing into a public order buildings or religion since public order and coruption can influence growth and for sometimes even income to a noteable degree. if you make more of these videos like for example your own guide on diplomacy mechanics i would watch it.

Ah, I personally don’t like experimenting with mods as I typically prefer vanilla so I am probably not the best person to ask for mod recommendation and thus why I don’t do those types of videos

Acting as if Legend never gets anything wrong on the spot and has to double-check things. Sure, seeing the nature of this guide series, it could have been a little better prepared to avoid exactly these moments, but there was no damage done from the maker of this video correcting himself over very minor details. Jesus Christ.
