He had some fire protectant gel on his hands that could be lit & would protect his hands.They formed in New York in 1973. 10 years they wore make up,like you might have seen in "I Was Made For Loving You" They wanted to be the band they never saw.Gene Simmons "The Demon" (bassist) He liked comic books & old 1931 horror movies .Paul Stanley (guitar /co vocals)He wanted to be a rock star from an early age. The original lead guitarist & original drummer left in the early 80's..They did reunite & put back on the make up in 1996 1980'S songs "Lick It Up" "Crazy Crazy Nights" "Rise To It" & a ballad "Forever" The 1980's were the glam hairband era
