Kiss was the first rock concert I ever attended, in my early teens, so they will always hold great nostalgia for me. I saw them on their Australian tour in Brisbane around late 1980, I recall, when their 'Unmasked' Album came out and Peter Criss had just been replaced by Eric Carr. I remember all but begging my parents to let me go, and they finally agreed as long as my friend's mother chaperoned. They were huge at the time, and it was a thrill to see them live and an awesome show! I had the most enormous crush on Paul Stanley, not so much when he took his makeup off somehow lol. I realize the makeup was a major part of their mystique, persona and theatrical appeal, back then. They did have some great rock tunes though, that still stand up today!
