I was at this show. Still have the ticket stub. Paid 150 from a scalper out front.

They were hungry and had something to prove. They performed at a sublime level. They were never tighter than they were at this time.

I totally agree. The Revenge Club Tour and the U.K. Arena Tour were the best. Awesome energy.
@javtimestwo2 ай бұрын
There popularity was so low in '92 that the club tour made a lot of sense as far as crowd size. The US tour was delayed once and didn't start until Oct '92, instead of earlier that summer. The US tour was not well attended and was cut short in mid Dec '92 Not for lack of trying because the song quality on Revenge was terrific. MTV and radio ignored the videos/singles and so Kiss was once again not getting the success their peers received in '92/'93

Ive seen all Incarnations of KISS. From the originals to to Thayer. This show was my favorite by a mile. .. on a side note, i saw rush playing here as well. A sneak show put on by beer company contest.

Visually? Sonically? Ticket sale wise? Because none of those would be accurate statements. They were on thin ice with their label at this time and weren’t doing big business by any stretch compared to what it was in the 70’s and what it became after they put the makeup back on. This is arguably the lowest point in their career second only to the Elder/Killers/Creatures era.

Just imagine being there that night. Wow. KISS in their absolute prime, with the most solid lineup. Was this like a surprise show booked under a different name? Thank you for sharing this my friend.
@yettiman28172 ай бұрын
Nope, this wasnt billed under another name, it was announced on Radio maybe 2 days advance. Almost impossible to get tickets, i drove down and found a scalper for 150 bucks. WORTH IT.

This is awesome! KISS loves playing arenas but when they weren't selling millions of albums they should've scaled down and played more places like this and small theaters to the real fans! They would've sold out every place! I hate arenas anyway! not for real fans!

KISS gets a bad rap for over-production (sometimes warranted). Seeing this, you are reminded they are a kick-ass (or is it KISS-ASS?) rock band.

Sounds great but such a mini venue. Two bad moved : taking the makeup off and releasing terrible 80s albums. Went so far away from their roots. Thank goodness for Revenge and the return of Gene
@Muh_Username10 ай бұрын
the return of gene?? You mean Ace and Peter
@jesuspalacios258010 ай бұрын
I believe taking the makeup off was a good idea, for me they had nothing to do in the glam scene after. That and the run of meaningless albums without a direction played bad for them until HITS. I know there's a lot of people who hate Hot in the Shade, but for me is miles ahead from their previous albums.
@elvinposey52519 ай бұрын
I agree. but 80's albums aren't terrible there is some great songs but HITS is the best of 80's. I think the makeup glam look after Lick it Up was terrible especially for Gene! they should've stuck with this look. @@jesuspalacios2580
