Kiss me deadly (1955) titles - One minute fim school - Music in movies

Filmmakers today don't get to the goddamn point! Director Bob Aldrich does, characters, story, mood, music and titles in under 2 minutes flat. Nat King Cole on the car radio, perfect, Cloris Leachman moaning through titles, perverse. Write and rewrite your opening 2 minutes until you can get as tight as possible and you will hook your audience in. Now you know were George Lucas stole the Star Wars titles....

I see many news articles today, as Cloris Leachman passed away, and referencing recent Hollywood films that Cloris Leachman acted in, but many younger generations today have probably never seen her original acting debut in the 1955 film noir picture, Kiss Me Deadly, which was spectacular. kzbin.info/www/bejne/nIbbapKpm72tobs

Yes!! This is a film noir that transcends the genre and becomes something very special. With almost no sympathetic characters in the whole film, everyone out for himself and trying to put one over on the next one, isn't this film made over 50 years ago a perfect picture of the world in 2012? And might not a series of seemingly random, innocuous events like of all the passing cars it is Hammer's who picks up a woman with a deadly secret, lead to a horrific conclusion here on earth in the future?
