Polly Holliday honestly was booted from the show due to Linda Lavin’s jealousy of her. The show had huge ratings and Flo became the main standout star. Sadly, this did not sit well with Lavin and the rest is history. The shows ratings plummeted but surprisingly Alice continued for several more years.

I read that Linda Lavin went clothes shopping with an assistant and picked out Polly's outfits, which she didn't like, but had to wear. They feuded off set. On Polly's last episode she gave Linda a notable sneer look as she was speaking to her t.v. son. I wonder how many takes it took for Linda to say to Mel, "She's leaving", to make it look and sound genuine.Diane Ladd, who replaced Polly, left prematurely after her character failed to live up to the hype------and Linda's approval.The show never fully recovered after Polly left, even though it lasted 5 more years.

@@dennismclaurin1487 I really didn't like the show! It was silly! I just wanted to do Mrs lavin! For the first 4 years she was pretty not sexy! But when she hit 40 cut her hair off! She looked like my grandma! By way she looks better today! But she to old now to do anything! Her husband is a lot younger than her! But she got a dog that she treat like a child! Because she couldn't have a child! It's sad!

Well could not boot Mrs lavin from the show! & Mrs lavin knew this that's why she was a B... word! Mrs lavin had to be doing someone very important in showbizzz! For it to last another 5 season es! But I would have done Mrs lavin too! If I could! She was beautiful! Not sexy! Until she hit 40! Then she looked like my grandma! What happened to her? At 84 today she looks a little bit better?

It's like porridge made from ground up 🌽 as opposed to oats. It's good with salt & butter 🧈 😋. But that's the basic way to make them. U can put cheese 🧀, onions 🌰, & shrimp 🍤 & tons of other things
