Someone said this on twitter (and I thought it was really interesting) that the reception to KIOF almost feels the same way (G)-IDLE did when they debuted and maybe they'll have a smiliar trajectory. Where they're not from a big company but the talent and level of producion where can hold up to the huge companies - and I would love that for them.

To be fair, Cube was never classified as small company or unknown company. When the big 3 thrives, Cube was the company that can be considered just behind them a little bit in terms of having legendary groups like 4minute, BEAST, Trouble maker, BTOB, and so on. But they were infamous for not managing their own groups to their full potential or even decent promotion (or how they deal with controversies). So they were kinda big, unlike s2entertainment that is pretty small and unknown and their first group before KIOF, Hot Issue, didnt even get any kind of breakthrough. But I do agree their trajectory kinda mimics Idle, in a way that the company seems to trust the members and letting them do their own thing.

Also its funny the comment is related to CUBE, because the founder of S2 entertainment that houses Kiss of Life is actually the original founder of CUBE, he left CUBE because of various issues with the board etc. Cube is a listing company in Korea, they r not small by any means, but routinely miss manages their groups sadly. But I do get what people are saying about the similar trajectory they could potential have😊

Natty is a big problem, she‘s so stunning and has so much presence 🫠 Haneuls set is probably my fave also her styling!! In general what a gorgeous mv(I heard digipedi worked on it so that makes sense👀) When I first listened to it I found the chorus a bit underwhelming like their should be a bigger drop but I can‘t stop listening to it, I‘m obsessed 🤩 Ahh Hot Issue mentioned I miss them😭

This song was soooo good! I really love the 2000s Britney vibe, and their callbacks to their solo songs was so clever! Have you heard of the new gg Rescene? They just debuted last week and got lost in the shuffle with all the other gg’s debuting around the same time but I know you give love to even groups from smaller companies so I thought you might like to check them out! Their song uhuh is pretty unique and fun, it’s been stuck in my head for days! Would love to see you check them out! 😄

Natty in the spider web reminds me of Lady Gaga for some reason, like I swear there is one of her music videos where there is that exact same shot but its a screen and you can see her shadow? I'm gonna have to watch all her old videos to figure out which one it is but they made so many memories resurface with this video lol I'm obsessed!

I’ve only really bought Red Velvet albums in recent years bc they’re my ults and I’m trying to be mindful of spending, but Kiss of Life slayed so hard they deserve my money lol. Ima stan them too. Honestly they gave Toxic era Britney Spears. Their director is a woman, a pretty young one too (only 6 years older than Julie). Lee Haein, she was in Produce 101 S1 making it to the final Crush stage, and was supposed to be first place in Idol School (Natty also competed there) but was rigged out. She’s an ace all arounder who excelled at sexy/sultry vibes. You can watch her perform Irony as reference.

They feel like from a big company because S2 Ent. was established by Hong Seung Sung, the man who also made Cube and previously he worked at JYP. After their group Hot Issue didn't work I think they realised they need to rebrand so he prolly found best people in the industry to run the company. And as the girls explained, they wanted to make an idol group that truly feels like artists. When you take all that into consideration it just makes sense.

hey, sorry this is unrelated, but I just wanted to recommend TIOT's pre-release 'Moonrise', this is the group with the boys planet guys (junhyeon etc) and their first song with their new fifth member- yechan, who wasn't on the show. Highly Recommend a Group *YOUNG POSSE* with their Title Track "MACARONI CHEESE & XXL". Out of all 5th Gen Debut Last Year and This Year this Group really caught my Attention and for me honestly they had a Potential to be a "Rookie of the Year" and "Album of the Year" this year. Their Albums are well produced and really bopping your head 10/10 Songs.💖

I have one tiny quibble, not with the song, which is fire, but with the video: Back in the day, in the western music video world, there were cases where models, new music artists, and actors would be featured as the love interest in a music video and garner a lot of attention, sometimes it was a career launcher. This poor random dude is just not interesting enough for everything happening around him, let alone the members he's nominally supposed to be involved with. Otherwise, fantastic stuff.
